Best we've brought through since Rooney. Kept the side together last year in his first full season.

We apparently turned £30 million down earlier in the summerMight not go down too well but if an offer around 30m came in I would accept it. The lad is still potential but 30m in our current predicament is a no brainer for me.
If we were in a position of funding not important then I would keep him
Richarlison was a success because the goals came at crucial times . Gordon atm looks like he'd struggle to fire a paintball into an empty net.The two points I'd make are
1) He offers a lot more other than goals. His defensive contribution is fantastic. So I wouldnt measure him just in goals.
2) He started 25 games I think. And took time to get going. Ended up getting 4 in about 15 starts.
We were awful, but that also stands in his favour mate, as he is getting less chances/opportunities than he would in a good team.
I've said before, I just worry theres an unrealistic standard for him. In more starts, Richarlison got 7 goals outside of pens and was considered a success. If he gets 8 goals, to me that would be good.

A lot of potential but he's not a striker and I don't think he's a number 10 either yet.
I really feel another year out wide left cutting in, shooting and crossing would have been more beneficial for us and him.
Yes but Newcastle wasn’t bidding for a 21 year old Maddison so to compare his price to what a 21 year old Gordon who’s done nothing really is a bit daft if that’s the case how about £20odd million what he went to Leicester for
I agree, but the media, the club, the manager, and some fans have painted him as the next Ronaldo. Pushing him back to impact sub and he’d drown in “what’s happened to Gordon” headlines. We’ve shot our collective bolts to soon again. Looks like he’s going to have to learn on the big stage.Way too much on this lads shoulders last season ( & it told on him ) could do with rotating him for a few games.
Get him coming on later in a few games when its slowed down , he may benefit from that with a few goals and assists
I told hime he needed to score more.Way too much on this lads shoulders last season ( & it told on him ) could do with rotating him for a few games.

Herein lies the problem , I'm not advocating pushing him out.I agree, but the media, the club, the manager, and some fans have painted him as the next Ronaldo. Pushing him back to impact sub and he’d drown in “what’s happened to Gordon” headlines.
I suppose an argument for all the goals importance could be made as we didn't score many last year.In fairness mate, Gordon's goal against United was probably the most important goal of them all.
I agree re the number 10 stuff, he probably needs the game simplified a bit for him. I think for him and Gray really. Beat a man, cross the ball/shoot. Do the simple things over and again. I dont think he will be playing number 10 though.
His corners come in waist high to the front post. I’m a fan but this is not his strong suit.I agree, but the media, the club, the manager, and some fans have painted him as the next Ronaldo. I’m still not sure. The world is filled with fast lads that can dribble at speed. He has added heart, effort and passion. There needs to be more at some point. Corners and free kicks - nope. Incisive through balls - not yet. Right place at right time tap ins at the far post - nil. Great crosses fizzed across the danger zone - Patterson did more in a couple of friendlies. 25 yard bangers - not unless Maguires fat arse is in the way. Etc etc.
He wins us throw ins 20 yards further forward than where he got the ball at the moment, with a few bums off seats.
I actually think he’ll be really brilliant after Xmas when things settle down, and just run himself into the ground until then.
That would be super if we had somebody we could replace him with.Needs some time on the bench
