Never before has a player been so worshipped for pretty much just running around for 60 mins. Potential there and he'll probably develop at Newcastle but his output to date hasn't been anything to write home about. Chelsea would be a bad move for him imo.

If he goes for the money being talked about good luck to the lad. Something kinda funny about a clare balding look alike moving to a club associated with GBH of horses though.

Barely anyone likes him, so not sure how much worship is going on?

Most people over the summer were saying to get rid of him and that the potential bid by Chelsea was ludicrous money for his ability.

Last season there was a bit more positivity around him as his effort was infectious, but very few thought we should be giving him the no10 shirt and building our attack around him.

Our recruitment seemingly went into this season thinking he would be our star man, and it's one of the main reasons we are a blunt force. He's barely prem standard currently.

There were plenty of people who said we should wait and sell him this upcoming summer for more than we got for big Rom, or keep him, because he was going to be the best thing coming out of Everton since Rooney, and build the squad around him.

I agree with what youve said tho, he is barely prem standard. We shouldve grabbed the cash from Chelski last summer and laughed all the way to the bank.

Tbh mostly it came from the club with that hideously cringeworthy "StArBoYyyyy" tagline. He'd literally not done anything at all of note prior to that or since it. Awful and proper small time from Everton.

Wha?? Can't wait to see the back of the nan headed rubber chicken faced rodent...overrated isn't the word,great deal for us for a change
 

Last home game when he came on, you'd have thought he would have used the occasion to show his ability to do something positive.
Right in front of us he chickened out of a more than winnable tackle and his effort at trying to win a penalty was laughable.
His confidence is well and truly shot at and he's not gonna get that back anytime soon in a blue shirt.
For his own sake he needs to go.
