haha i have my doubts definitely, but i saw him and what he did at swansea. i cannot blame anyone on here who didn't see that who has their doubts.

you may be in for a surprise (y) that's all i say atm though
 
Lads, I and others have touched on this, but here are the definitive Alcaraz 12/13 stats:

PL:
Played 8(2), Conceded 9. Equates to 76.78 mins per goal conceded. In other words, using that average if he had played every minute of every game they would have conceded 45 goals in the league.

Cups:
Played 4, Conceded 1. Equates to 347 mins per goal conceded.

Total:
Played 12(2), Conceded 10. Equates to 103.8 mins per goal conceded, i.e. less than a goal a game.

None too shabby numbers. Quite surprising actually.

Also, didn't 4 of those goals come against Arsenal?
 

If bringing in depth at CB for wages only means we can get Heitinga off the books and have more to spend on a striker or midfielder, sign me up. If he's lacking, Distin is good for another season, and Duffy needs some minutes.
