Wouldn’t assume anything about the way things are operating between board and owner. DBB has been searching for other opportunities for a couple of years, probably without knowing, no-one at the club knew Mosh was going on radio blaming the fans and backing Lampard. No fan of Denise’s ability to do her job, but I would imagine in the misogynistic world of a football boardroom, especially if you didn’t really do anything useful, she’d be first to be left out of communications. No, I'm not. I'm assuming the CEO was aware that the statement involving an incident she was involved in. That's a fair assumption, no?
You're making the assumption that this claim was put out without her knowledge which as far as I can tell us based on nothing other than you wanting to believe that.
I can't see beyond him as the one responsible for the dreadful way the club have handled this.
I also can't see him being asked to step down, because it's a mutual incompetence-preservation-society in there. Like the Tory government.
We know it was leaked from "club sources" to the echo first. Who has a connection between our CEO and the Echo? Prentice.Might well be the case. I would still hope a female ceo wouldn't falsely use claims of assault and misogynist abuse just to undermine a fanbase. The truth may come out, or it may not but that is the worst of all the scenarios and would be absolutely sickening.
Aye that would be another element to add to the seemingly purposeful timing to discredit protesting Everton fans. From that thing going around about someone overzealously putting their arm around her I could defo believe that.
Make no mistake though, the "source from within the club" described it as a headlock to vilify fans and garner sympathy for the board.
This.Going full Venky's now.
There's no world I can picture where an allegation of our female CEO being assaulted gets published in a club statement without her knowledge.I w

It’s all guesswork really, but they may have to leave it that way now as they are totally boxed in between the fans, police and media. There is at least one snidey prick involved though.
I agree. I just can't see her telling Prentice to put it out there. She'd be a sociopath if that was the case. I think it is untrue, but has not come from her.We know it was leaked from "club sources" to the echo first. Who has a connection between our CEO and the Echo? Prentice.
I would hope it too, but when the news only comes out two hours before the next match and the Merseyside police haven't heard anything, no witnesses have come forward, you have to start questioning it.
At the moment this is a completely unsubstantiated allegation with plenty of context that implies it's false.
What evidence besides the claim is there that this actually happened? It's a serious allegation and publishing it in a club statement without any evidence is an incredible misstep by the club.

Except our owner doesn't even make chicken.This.
Yes but Tories also idolise self-preservation and Prentice and DBB are now targets for the fans anger.I can't see beyond him as the one responsible for the dreadful way the club have handled this.
I also can't see him being asked to step down, because it's a mutual incompetence-preservation-society in there. Like the Tory government.
That's the crux. There was no mention of this in the official statement. It was a BBC reporter who first said she was "manhandled". I'm not even sure the origin of the "headlock" story. There's no world I can picture where an allegation of our female CEO being assaulted gets published in a club statement without her knowledge.
None. The lengths some people are going to in order to stretch this situation into something believable is extraordinary.
They need to put out some evidence to back up this allegation because at the moment that's all it is and the cynical of us can see many reasons why they would choose to lie if that is the case.
The Echo ran that detail. You can guess where it came from. That's the crux. There was no mention of this in the official statement. It was a BBC reporter who first said she was "manhandled". I'm not even sure the origin of the "headlock" story.
