Gutted about that mate tbh, those 22 goals in the last 6 home games, shared between 11 different scorers really hammers home your point with aplomb lol

Thats a goalscorer doing what a goalscorer should do, and score.

12 Goals scored from other players in 6 games, i'd say thats spreading them around. Average of 2 goals per game from other sources than Lukaku.

No surely not, actual facts that don't suit a certain person's agenda, whatever is the world coming to!

Any manager will build his team around his strongest and best players.
When one of them is missing the formation will be tinkered with to adapt.
It will happen now with Schneiderlin and would happen if Kukaku gets injured.

not sure if this has been posted...

Many Everton fans will be wondering where their goals are going to come from if Romelu Lukaku decides to leave the club - but they do have one reason not to be too concerned.

The Toffees have the largest number of different goalscorers in the Premier League this season, with 15 players contributing for Ronald Koeman's team.

Young striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin became No 15 at the weekend, taking advantage of being named in the starting line-up to score the opener in their 4-0 win over Hull City.

Lukaku, who last week said he would not be signing a new contract at Goodison Park, is significantly out in front in terms - he has 21 goals this season, ahead of Ross Barkley, Seamus Coleman and Kevin Mirallas who are all on four.

The rest of the goals are widely spread across the rest of the team - Enner Valencia has three, while Leighton Baines and Gareth Barry have two each.

As well as Calvert-Lewin, there are eight other players who have each contributed a single strike to the Merseysiders in the 2016-17 league campaign - Yannick Bolasie, Tom Davies, Idrissa Gueye, Ademola Lookman, James McCarthy, Morgan Schneiderlin and Ashley Williams.

Calvert-Lewin's goal moves Everton ahead on their own in the scoring chart, having previously shared top spot with three other teams.

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are one of those clubs with 14 separate scorers, spreading the goals around as they chase a place in the top four.

Mid-table sides Burnley and Watford are the others, but unlike Everton don't have a prolific goalscorer to boost them up the table.

At the bottom of the table, Tottenham Hotspur's reliance on Harry Kane is laid bare as he is one of only nine different players to net, leaving Spurs level with strugglers Middlesbrough and Swansea City.

Rock bottom, however - as they are in the full Premier League standings, are Sunderland, who have a paltry six players on the list.

This is double the number they had on December 21, when only Jermain Defoe, Victor Anichebe and the now departed Patrick van Aanholt had scored for them.

Since then Fabio Borini, Lamine Kone and Didier Ndong have each managed one apiece - Kone and Ndong in the same game, the 4-0 victory at Crystal Palace.

@davek

I posted that earlier mate.

it was hysterical then and it's even more so now.

"You dont need the goals of Lukaku...Tom Davies and Gareth Barry will get them next season".

The Echo have published three recent "think pieces" on the same subject in the last week....

....feel like you're getting set up for some big news....?!

If one player is in exceptional goalscoring form, as Lukaku is, then it's not unusual for his share of his team's goals to be higher than other players - exceptional things tend to be exceptional and as such can cause statistical anomalies. The combined percentages can't hit higher than 100% and one player's unusually high scoring rate will inevitably lower his teammates percentages, that's just how percentages work.

As such I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here. Are you saying that if Lukaku missed a few chances and knocked a few passes astray we'd somehow be a better team?

The fact that Koeman has found a better way of utilising the teams main striker than Martinez could and is more willing to adapt his tactics in accordance with what's available to him and the opposition seems to upset you.
