We'd need to close it, because 99.9% won't have a subscription and it'll likely lead to someone sharing the article in full which lands us in hot water.
In the past for others (like The Mirror) we've had legal letters come through.

If its related to Everton I can't see why it can't be discussed on here as long as the full article isn't shared.
Maybe a standard caveat at the start of the thread stipulating this could be a way around it.

I can't see why they'd have a problem with it. As @GwladysPhil says, its free advertising.

Exact reason I refuse to subscribe. I will not pay for anything that employs that faeces stain.

Let them take legal action, they don't really have much to stand on.

Pick and choose battles mate, is it worth the aggro?

Also, their Everton writers are blues, I assume paid/incentivised by subscriptions so it seems a tad unfair to undermine that?

Doesn't really work though when only 1/1000 people who visit the thread will have access to the material. Too niche and it'll inevitably lead to someone using a free trial and likely sharing the full article - there's only so much we can communicate to not do so (see the ticket thread...) - figure it's best to discourage it entirely. Risk vs reward?

This isn't anything new, we've always had the same approach with paywall content. And some other publications like The Mirror.

Yeah true about the aggro - but them being a blue is irrelevant they're after the dollar.

Then don't pay for it, but don't expect to get someone else's work for free.

Subjective how you see it. I happily share my netflix account with friends etc.

They're getting paid regardless if some of it is posted on a forum, if people like the report - then subscribe and read more of them.
