We need a combination of youth and older heads. A central defensive pairing of jags and Williams would be a very good one IMO

Willaims IMO will be a terrific signing. Yes I know he is in his twilight years and Yes 10m is heavy for a player of his age. If this was before Moshiri then I would have said it was crazy money as the impact on our budget would not have impacted massively. We will get a few years from an experienced and very good organiser until the right CB comes along. I hope we get him as our defence is as dodgy as hell.

He's probably got two or three seasons left at the top level. So, if he leaves Swansea I reckon he'll be going somewhere where he can play European footie.

With Mertsacker out for the rest of the year, you could see him doing a job for Arsenal, and Wenger being interested in getting him.
