It's been a difficult few weeks. The tone here has certainly changed, who knows what the atmosphere at the club is like.
The manager and the club get a lot more leeway if results are good, and they have not been recently. Same with the general performance of the team.
After sky-high expectations in the summer and the disappointment of the window, a come-down was somewhat inevitable after the initial honeymoon period for Koeman and Moshiri which is now by and large, over.
A further announcement of an AGM, or something regarding the stadium, would be a big help for morale. It does not seem anything is imminent. Perhaps it's unfair and unrealistic to expect continuous updates when the club have nothing new or material to report.
It's really a period of transition, and within that transition, uncertainty. Uncertainty breeds nervousness and impatience.
I remain positive about Koeman and confident about his ability to turn things around. But I must admit that I was extremely disappointed in his remarks concerning Lukaku, particularly in the wake of the generally well received Moshiri interview. His much-admired honesty should have self-imposed limits as I cannot accept that he made those comments thinking that a significant proportion of fans would find not an issue with them. He is Everton manager, and in addition to his contractual responsibilities, there are other unwritten obligations to the club and its supporters.
We can only hope that Moshiri, Koeman, and Walsh are more or less at the same place as to what needs to be done with the squad and that things are progressing inch by inch towards a stadium announcement.
Who knows when things will pick up pace regarding the stadium. Most of us expect a "decent" January window too, whatever that actually is will differ according to expectations. For me, it will be next summer before a realistic assessment can be made - a poor window then and some of the concerns now being expressed will have been justified.
The team needs to knuckle down and work harder. The manager should consider his public utterances more carefully. Moshiri needs to further assert his control.
