Bobby/BK have done much damage. Moshiri's no sheik in wealth. No comparison to Man City here.
fair call, dont know how i let bill get off with no mention, slipped my mind lol... but mosh is i feel mate, hes our sheik at least ;)... put it this way, his 100m plus stones 50mil plus rom 75mil thats 225m that he will not be able to spend because players dont seem to want to play for everton :( city was mid table, stadium plans, rich investor, good manager... id just love to know why we arnt throwing our weight around... but i'll be patient. looks like we arnt trying to be like city anyway... walshs appointment proof enough for me that we are not going to over spend on anyone. but thats not the statement of intent i was hoping for... i was looking forward to paying stupid money for mata or koulibily... walshs appointment kind of tells me that mosh hasnt got a warchest, never did, and koeman has signed simply for the payrise and still has his eyes set on arsenal or barca... sorry for my negativity, just confused... is koeman our marquee? and why do deals keep falling through? okay i'll stop....

Blimey.

He is waiting on Juventus. Juventus. One of the biggest clubs in the world. Champions League final the season before last, semi final this season, and just won their fifth consecutive league title. Surely it would be a bigger indictment against Witsels character if he just took our money before waiting to see if a Juventus deal was possible?
But according to someone who let us be honest is the only one keeping this deal alive on here (esk) he says Juve haven't and won't make a deal i think i read before.

So literally 'i'm not signing for you until Juventus tell me they don't want me'.

Surely i am not the only person who sees the fault in that? We have a deal on the table, they don't, we have had a deal on the table for quite some time, no-one else has. How long do we wait? a week? a month? 3 months? Because juventus might want him in january, or next year on a free?

As much as i want him to be an everton player i'm not blindingly ignoring the obvious here. and who do we sign if Witsel falls through as we are waiting for him? Do we go without then? save our money, oh well, we tried sort of attitude? What happens when Witsel does go to Juventus? But in 3 weeks time?

You aren't going to negotiate for another player if you are waiting on one to sign the contract, which could be weeks away again if he is just waiting and seeing.

MY point is, this juventus interest is fabricated, just fantasy according to our most in the know member. So waiting for interest that doesn't exist rather than move here?

Hold out for Napoli or possibly Inter before. He will be a squad player at Juve?

Inter are a huge club. Napoli a big club who are in the CL.

It's not like he's holding out for minnows was my point. He has had offers from other massive clubs who currently are more successful than ourselves. However, he also clearly would be happy coming to us, but he's done absolutely nothing wrong so far...

Don't think too many inside football (as opposed to the media) really think Lukaku is leaving tbh.

One of the girls from Everton 1878 has stated that Rom will sign a new contract worth $100k per week, this week but it does have a release clause involved with a fixed price for a champions league club. I believe he will stay, but cant believe why both he and Mirallas haven't been in Witsels ear getting him to sign

No room for sensible talk like that on here mate. Have a word with yourself!

Hypothetically, as this is all assumptions atm, just because Juve haven't 'officially' bid for him doesn't mean they haven't expressed their interest in signing him to his reps.

I think he is hoping one of the clubs above will offer/match the same deal as us.

If that were true they would have signed him already.

I mean they have just signed away the league's top striker from their league rivals last year for a massive fee perfectly fine. So this isn't waiting for the Pogba deal to go through, they are already spending the Money. Or the way Pjanic joined the other week, plays in the middle just like pogba.

If you add up the fees as well it kinda rounds out to about what pogba will go for.

As i said to Ijjy in the other thread. If Cleverley kept Sunderland waiting because he was waiting for Real Madrid to express an interest then you would laugh at him. But this is the exact same position, and yet witsel is right to wait for the offer that won't come.
