This guy seems the epitome of 'putting all your eggs in one basket'. Almost 4 weeks ago Esk said "he's ours" and we are still waiting for the annoucement.
Indeed
He's looking out for himself, as he should
We should be looking out for ourselves and have other players in mind

which is entirely reasonable![]()
But according to someone who let us be honest is the only one keeping this deal alive on here (esk) he says Juve haven't and won't make a deal i think i read before.
So literally 'i'm not signing for you until Juventus tell me they don't want me'.
Surely i am not the only person who sees the fault in that? We have a deal on the table, they don't, we have had a deal on the table for quite some time, no-one else has. How long do we wait? a week? a month? 3 months? Because juventus might want him in january, or next year on a free?
As much as i want him to be an everton player i'm not blindingly ignoring the obvious here. and who do we sign if Witsel falls through as we are waiting for him? Do we go without then? save our money, oh well, we tried sort of attitude? What happens when Witsel does go to Juventus? But in 3 weeks time?
You aren't going to negotiate for another player if you are waiting on one to sign the contract, which could be weeks away again if he is just waiting and seeing.
MY point is, this juventus interest is fabricated, just fantasy according to our most in the know member. So waiting for interest that doesn't exist rather than move here?

I just think it has taken too long to make a decision. Perhaps like some posters said if we need better footballers to upgrade our team we need to wait. Once it approaches the transfer deadline, their options run out then they might come. In the end two 11th place finish in a row was a deep damage to our club in attracting better players.
there's no evidence of that though - it's all based on assumptions...
If that were true they would have signed him already.
I mean they have just signed away the league's top striker from their league rivals last year for a massive fee perfectly fine. So this isn't waiting for the Pogba deal to go through, they are already spending the Money. Or the way Pjanic joined the other week, plays in the middle just like pogba.
If you add up the fees as well it kinda rounds out to about what pogba will go for.
As i said to Ijjy in the other thread. If Cleverley kept Sunderland waiting because he was waiting for Real Madrid to express an interest then you would laugh at him. But this is the exact same position, and yet witsel is right to wait for the offer that won't come.
City's wealth is on a totally different level to the rest, also the rest of the clubs didn't have the tv money riches they do today, it's a lot harder to do a 'city' in todays game.
yes your correct, the city take over was at a time when not every other club come into money... massive factor, point taken lol. But can someone please just confirm this FFP issue, is it really a factor? everyones divided on it, some say its not a factor and we can spend what we want, others are saying we wont buy until we move on stonesy... looks like the latter, seeing we havent spent a cent??? but then youve got the likes of bournemouth who have spent 40mil... and that tells me ffp means nothing at all?FFP is the biggest barrier to clubs doing a 'city'.
Agreed, however the lack of any outfield transfers probably isn't helping the situation - acting as a catalyst for their fear and concern. There's no reason for fans to get wound up over very normal situations
