You seriously are one negative poor sole
Easy option, dont follow the blues

I was with someone like you at the match on saturday, cursing Naismith, calling him fit to burn, when he scored he sat in his chair and didn't even acknowledge the goal...utter tit

why spend money or be involved if it bothers you so much, stay at home and piss the missus off....just saying like

Your happy with the p!ssy amount of sponsorship revenue the club is currently generating then?

btw, are you 350 years old?

Actually, template or not, the quality of kits and training gear produced by Nike is top class, Umbro were never too bad but were always templates in the past and not the same quality as Nike. If we are getting bespoke gear then it should be interesting. Still a bit disappointed because I thought we had another year with Nike.

I just want them to make a nice royal blue kit without any stupid overdone collars/sleeves/necks. It's been a long time since I've looked at an Everton home shirt and wanted to buy it.

I personally think Nike is better quality but everyone on twitter seems to think they're rubbish, but status wise we've gone from this list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nike,_Inc.#Sponsorship (possibly the reason we got invited to that summer tournament) to this list http://www.wikipeetia.org/List_of_Umbro_sponsorships - can't say this isn't a step down in commercial terms.

"we are everton we do things our own way" - yeah, it seems so....the "family friendly", backwards way....football is about perception and pushing your brand. We now get our kits made by the people who make Stockport County's, not Barcelona's

basically, Nike is a global brand, Umbro is a local, Northern brand. Suits our commercial team to the ground of course, but its still a step backwards

I dont care if we play in baker aprons, as long as name on the back plays their heart out for the badge on the front.
Scenes when we win the league and hoist a trophy wearing a 70's polyester sail boat collared kit.

Nike made template kits, and I may be wrong but I think they were an influencing factor in our logo change.

Umbro will make unique kits, that'll do.

Plus I don't buy into the global brand thing. It's about two things: how the kit looks, and how much you get as part of the deal. Warrior are a nothing brand over here, and their kits are hideous, but Liverpool get a ludicrous amount of money and so it's a top deal for them. As far as I know Nike paid us very little, on top of all the other crap things, well meh, I won't miss them.

It's a bit like being back in school, being bullied because you didn't have a pair of Kickers.

in all fairness to the club though, the fan outreach and the whole way they approached this today was absolutely top notch. Hopefully it will continue

Nike gave us buttons. Umbro will give us more than buttons so therefore an improvement.
Nike didnt give two f*cks about Everton Football Club, Umbro will have a little bit more respect towards us.
