Umbro is decent enough, they've made some classy looking kits in recent history. I only have one of their jerseys but it feels less comfortable than the nike ones. We're also going to be one of their biggest teams so they're going to want to make our jerseys look good and unique.

I don't know who's responsible for it but the changearound in the way Everton uses its fans and communicates with us is the best thing about the big change in Summer. Fantastic atmosphere at Everton and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.

Can't say I'm not gutted about this as it does feel like we're swapping a Ferrari for a Robin Reliant in terms of branding but I hope with the promise we will be Umbro's flagship club fans will get a full range of stuff to buy cos beyond the kits and a few jackets and tops, the merchandising with Niike was crap; bags, footballs, hats, it is all made in house whereas Nike supplied these things for other clubs

Worth £10m a year....not really

We have been in the top 4-8 clubs in the most watched televised sport in the world for over a decade.


Tottenham get £50m for their 5 year deal with "Under Armour"


Liverpool nearly £250m for their 10 year Warrior Deal


Aston Villa got £15m from Macron for their 4 year kit deal.


Now we are nowhere near Liverpool as a global brand but I'd like to think we'd be between Spurs and Villa.


We should therefore be getting between £3m and £10m from Umbro per year.


Anyone think we are getting that?


I wonder how much the club scoured the globe for a partner? Did they talk to US and Asian brands desperate for the chance to get their brand out into the world market?


When you see us falling further and further behind our peers financially it is days like today that are to blame.


People talk about the need for a new stadium but it is deals like this that are FAR more important to this club in the long run.

Happy to be back with Umbro. Nike produced good shirts but we were always going to be small change for them. Looking forward to something quite classic from Umbro, keep it simple please.

Nike gave us buttons. Umbro will give us more than buttons so therefore an improvement.
Nike didnt give two f*cks about Everton Football Club, Umbro will have a little bit more respect towards us.

Exactly. To Nike we where no more important to them than any of there other portfolio clubs. We where certainly not viewed as a 'flagship' team.They concentrate on promoting Man U, Barcelona etc.

To Umbro, we are their main brand now and they will make every effort to ensure this.

The last few kits from Nike are disgusting. I have yet to buy any of them. I am sure the fuss made over the badge has had something to do with this too.
