Baines: We have no chemistry

Funny how hes piped up now knowing oviedo will bw first choice when hes back.

Hope Baines is sold in summer now tbh. Shouldnt be making comments like this in the media.

Yeah cos Baines is a well known agitator - remember all those interviews he gave trying to force a move through to old trafford a few years ago? - nope neither do i because the bloke is a consumate professional, but ofc spin the line he is speaking up cos he is depserate to stay at everton and panicking, dsespite the fact he saw a move to untied get blocked and just got on with playing one of his best seasons ever without a negative word afterwards.

Exactly what is this grevious offence he has commited btw? Said the team lacks chemistry and has for a while? - on that he is saying what anyone with eyes can see - and i woul;d have thought you'd like the fact he is taking a leadership role Zat and speaking for what is obviously a huge amount of players in the squad who feel similar - if i am wrong i fully expect to see lots of endrosements for the chemistry of the team and supporting martinez shortly

You'd rather sell Baines than Sack martinez - that basically says all anyone needs to know about your thinking mate, IF Baines was available then probably about 15 teams int his league would bite your hand off to have him and the other 4 would give it serious thought, if martinez was available not one single team would take him - even Villa

He's bang on, there is no chemistry. It's just maverick after maverick attempting bits of brilliance.
You're correct and it's not just one thing causing this to occur, yet rather a multitude of elements which when combined mean we just look poor.

As @GrandOldTeam mentioned, there's no balance in our squad due to the tactics and the players being shoe-horned into unsuitable roles.

Nor do the players look either comfortable or confident in the overall approach Martinez has adopted. We're too often slow and turgid in our play.

So that means as you and Baines rightly mention, that the players are relying on individual players to produce with a maverick bit of skill.

My missus (who isn't interested in football in the slightest) even said to our girls last night, if the players don't suit the system then why play it?

Shocked I asked her to clarify.. 'He may want to play a certain way, but if you haven't got those players to do it yet, then why stick with it?'

I can see it, you can see it, the players can see it and even my missus can now see it.... Why can't Bobby?

He's opened the door on the disillusion in that dressing room.

As one of the senior Pro's he's stuck his head over the parapet and good on him for saying it as it is.

They played like strangers on Sunday, and maybe that had something to do with Brown shoes mystifying tactics.

Or maybe a few of the players just hate each other....

Hey, if we're gonna gossip, let's at least do it properly... :P

As i have said a few times mate, Martinez is now the third longest serving manager - Hugehs is ahead by 4 days then the next is Pocchetini with a year lss time int he job, with Wenger obviously way ahead of anyone else.

How come so many of the other managers haven't struggle as badly or at all ihn turnign around the style of play of their teams in less time and in lots of cases with a hell of a lot less resources when they took over and a lot less spent.

I was very specific. I don't get much info and am certainly not some attention seeking nerd, but I did work as a voluntary groundsman for 3 seasons and know our ground staff very well, lads who work at Finch Farm Monday to Friday.

Wasn't having a go at you mate, i remember you saying that, was more saying that Martinez right now must have lost near enough the entire dressing room

Not surprised Baines has finally come out with this tbh, one of the best pro's at the club and he must be dreading the fact his last 3-4 years playing are going to be under this clown

Must know Tony Balshaw then? If he's still working there, not spoke to him for a while ;)

Last week Ranieri was saying that is what he does with Leicester.

The manager needs to have the ability to adapt his playing style to meet the strength of his players.

Yeah, but with all due respect mate, I think you'll find that all of those sites value 'clicks' very much. :p
