Beer, revisited

Sorry if you know this already, but CAMRA can give great advice re saving your pub.

If you go onto their website, in the sidebar menu - Saving you local.

Also have you considered crowd funding ?

Thanks, we’ve seen and read lots of these, there’s quite a bit out there.

Another village went down the route of getting all the villagers involved, they set up web sites and everything to raise money, get help etc, and after about four years are still no nearer getting hold of the pub.

We only decided just a couple of weeks ago to do this and agreed that just a few families would buy it, so as to enable quick decisions and movement. Once obtained, then if the rest of the village show any serious interest we would open up the ownership to all. Money is not an issue, finding the right manager and staff will be key, once our surveyor reports back and we decide to change our conditional offer into an unconditional one. It’s looking promising but we’ll see how it goes........

I wish you all the best mate.

A place without a pub, is a place without a soul.

I bought my first house based on the fact it was fifty yards away from my local !

CAMRA offer advice on saving pubs, yet they offer wetherspoons vouchers, demand 10% off and won't pay over £3.20 for a pint? Hmmm

Lime Stone Cowboy 4.5 % from the Mold brewery - Cwrw Ial.

Described as a copper ale, but tasted more like a " weaker " ruby ale.

Taste was a bit rich for me, but a nice one to drink slowly.

Couldn`t drink many of them.

Had this a couple of weeks ago, a stunner.

And this, which I recall hazily, was very drinkable.
