It's sour, to be sure...but not so much to be not drinkable. As I think I mentioned, I actually "cut it" with a bit of pale ale, about 40/60 (from the same brewery); it softens the sting...the beer-tenders at the microbrew taught me this, and it really does work well--they just fill my pint glass witha bout 40% pale ale and 60% watermellon gose. I even do it at home with the cans.
Saw these in sale in my (usually criminally expensive) booze shop.
Cases of 12 330ml down from almost 30 pound to 9.50
Hadn't had any Sierra Nevada brews before but took a stab and bought 4 cases. (I love a bargain)

Last nights offering :
White Rat Pale Ale ( 4%) Ossett
Despite the description on the pump clip, it wasn’t overly hoppy, quite dry and smooth, with a nice after taste.

Like a nice White Rat. Their Voodoo Chocolate stout is also delicious.
A pint of White Rat has turned into my staple drink if it’s on.

The craft expo was great and had a brilliant range of beers from some top brewers. The only issue was too many Impy's - can't remember leaving the Friday night session!

Another one from Incredible, and it's another IPA. All the usual hopicalia but this has a little more malt depth, very tidy.
Guinness in Newington Temple was absolutely outstanding yesterday, hadn't been in before

Night Jar Dark Ale - Dark Horse.
Craven Bitter - Dark Horse
Hetton Pale - Dark Horse
Wharfedale Blonde - Wharfedale
Ilkley Blonde - Ilkley
Daleside Blonde - Daleside.
Everyone of those beers was a cracker, but the winner was the Old Peculier ( 5.6 % ) served from an oak barrel.
Truly magnificent.
