Parkgate chippy on a nice day used to be boss. Especially when followed by a trip to the ice cream place.

Been told about this place a few times, going to have to give it a whirl, I’m Billinge way so not too far!As a wool, I have to ask WTF is fishtoast?
BTW the answer to the original question is the crisp e cod in Sutton
Not the best but perfectly serviceable:
The Tropicana at the top end of county road.
Ideal really as my pre match is usually the Black Horse, so Tropicana is on the way down to the ground meaning I won't have stand in line for 15 mins for a Goodison Road chippy.
Kenny Lings on Windsor Street L8 for fish toasts.
George and Angela's on College Road for all things chippy that's isnt Kenny's fishtoasts.
The Bloomfield Road chippy in Blackpool - there`s spice heads and drunks face down outside, but the fish and chips is off the scale good and amazingly cheap too.
In Liverpool, as tommye says, Kenny Lings for the Fish Toast.
I`ve been to that many fantastic chippies, in Yorkshire, it`s hard to know where to start really, as it`s their regional dish and if a chippy isn`t good, it shuts down pretty quickly, it`s as a simple as that.
Good afternoon mate.Used to go there for my dinner when I was in school, the gravy chip barms were a belter.
Fongs on Brownmoor does boss chips, despite the hygiene rating being in the minus.
I walk past here each match day and worked not too far away either, but I've never visited so I'll try it the next game. Not the best but perfectly serviceable:

The chippy on the promenade of New Brighton is rough as fluff, yet their fish is some of the best I've had. As long as you can stomach New Brighton, that is.Parkgate chippy on a nice day used to be boss. Especially when followed by a trip to the ice cream place.
Take this with a pinch of salt, however, I work with a woman who is originally from Whitby. Her family work in/or own Hadley's - something like that.I love in the summer evening driving to Whitby to get Fish and chips.
Magpie is the one that gets all the awards but Hadleys a bit further down the road and over the road is just as good.
Top level fish.

The chief fryer is meant to be on more than £50,000 a year because it's pretty much a gold mine. She showed me a picture of the family home, and I'm not surprised.

Always went there when courting the misses and that’s over 43 years ago great chippy, didn’t know it was still going eve though I live not to far from it. I’ll have to make a visit.….Jimmy’s on Eaton Rd has been my local for over 30 years & we use it regularly because it’s good.
As a fellow wool I mourn the demise of the quality on offer at the various Chipmunk's. Never been the Crisp e cod in Sutton but if I'm ever down that way I'll have to give it a go. The Crispy Cod near the old Saints ground is a very decent chippy. As a wool, I have to ask WTF is fishtoast?
