Anyone mentioned Byrne's chippy?
Best one I've been to recently in Liverpool.

I always stop at the Wetherby whaler in Wetherby strangely enough, whenever I'm darn sarf, most Yorkshire chippies as someone had previously mentioned are excellent.
Scottish chippies are consistently good, a spicy haggis supper being my favourite dish.

I saw on the news that they're closing their store on Muirhead due to costs. I've visited the one on Stuard Road, and it's always been decent.

Binley MEGA Chippy, ffs.
That ‘Rate my Takeaway’ fella went there and said the food was pretty bland.

Chippy’s run by Chinese are always better- far less grease and very generous with portions
I have mates from outside the city that still find it strange that you can order Chinese food from most chippys in Liverpool lol

Not been there for years, but ‘The New George’ chippy on Scotty road used to be a great little chip shop.

Gigantic home made fish cakes and their curry sauce was on another level! ?

Their fish and chips, isn`t in the same league, as most of the chippies in Yorkshire.

In Yorkshire, they use dripping to cook them in and that makes all the difference to the taste and the crispiness of the fish.

My missus is a Yorkie and she very rarely ever eats fish and chips here, for that reason.

Although the chippy in the Albert Dock, very surprisingly cooks them properly and the stuff in their is close to Yorkshire standards.

Cant compare Liverpool vs Yorkshire chippies.

I mean, try ordering rice in a Yorkshire chippy.

My Mrs is from Cumbria and she could not believe her eyes when I first took her to a chippy.

I thought it was the norm and didnt realise it was a Liverpool thing.

This. My north east friends find the whole concept of a Chinese chippy that serves fish and chips AND Chinese food totally mind blowing. Up here it's one or the other.
