Best chippy

I walk past here each match day and worked not too far away either, but I've never visited so I'll try it the next game.

The chippy on the promenade of New Brighton is rough as fluff, yet their fish is some of the best I've had. As long as you can stomach New Brighton, that is.

Take this with a pinch of salt, however, I work with a woman who is originally from Whitby. Her family work in/or own Hadley's - something like that.

The chief fryer is meant to be on more than £50,000 a year because it's pretty much a gold mine. She showed me a picture of the family home, and I'm not surprised.
There's a kebab place near where I used to live over this way, basically just a little kiosk that could only fit about 2 people inside. Queues always going down the street. Owner was absolutely minted from it apparently

Chippy’s run by Chinese are always better- far less grease and very generous with portions

Their fish and chips, isn`t in the same league, as most of the chippies in Yorkshire.

In Yorkshire, they use dripping to cook them in and that makes all the difference to the taste and the crispiness of the fish.

My missus is a Yorkie and she very rarely ever eats fish and chips here, for that reason.

Although the chippy in the Albert Dock, very surprisingly cooks them properly and the stuff in their is close to Yorkshire standards.

Binley MEGA Chippy, ffs.
I used to work down the road and used it a couple of times. Very busy even then and bang average.
There were a couple of good ones in Lytham where my lad lived for a couple of years. Use one in Burgh Heath on the way home from Palace sometimes. Very good despite having a picture of Chris Coleman on the wall.

Binley mega chippy is indeed absolutely meh. Genuinely bemused at how a random not particularly good chippy in a nondescript part of Coventry ended up becoming a phenomenon.
