Yea, said the same after his premier league debut.
The front press is completely ineffective with him as a lone striker.
We’ve created a good amount of chances from front press turnover with DCL. Beto is not providing the same impact.

Only Everton could get rid of a striker who never scores ( Maupay) and replace him with an even bigger donkey … laughable how clumsy he is inside the box when the ball falls to him … actually worse then niasse and we get rid of good prospects like cannon in favour of this donkey . We deserve everything we get

I remember when we were linked. People on here were shocked that such a good player would consider coming here...I have seen nothing so far from him to substantiate that...
I would imagine he’s never played high press before and is still learning. If he’s played his whole career as an explosive forward who hangs around and then comes to life when a balls played in it’s going to take more than a couple months to learn a different game completely.
I’ve seen enough to think he’ll get us some goals once he settles into the way we’re playing but away at anfield with 10 men against 12 was never going to be the one sadly

If you want a striker who's going to be 100% able to hit the ground running then you're looking at £50m+ these days.
He's going to need a while to adjust. Way too early to write him off

Yeh, players don’t need time to adjust and settle in to a new team and league.

He played the full game v Sheff utd .
Since then he's played 195 bit part appearances over 5 games.
Came into this league with no pre season and chucked straight into a league Cup game where he turned us round and single handedly kept us in the cup.
Not sure how anyone can judge him til he gets up to speed with the Prem and gets a lot more game time.
The criticism of this lad is way over the top.

Cannon hasn't even trained I don't think, they found quite a serious issue with his back. I hope he gets sorted and it's not curtains for the lad, football and back injuries are not generally a good mix.
I still like him and think he could do well for us if and when Dom gets injured.
