Big Vic

I am not convinced on the back of only 2 sub appearances and a decent preseason 2 seasons ago. HOwever, if his attitude has changed and he is coached in the right way (so get rid of Round and bring back Irvine and/or bring in Ray Wilkins) then he might be in with a shout. He took his goal well yesterday, but more impressive for me was the way he timed his run, asked for the ball and stayed onside....the Vic of old would have just ran, expecting to be seen and then would have been offside.

IF he keeps doing what he is doing then he is in danger of being our leading scorer! Playing with Saha helps, as Saha moves out wide and takes the attention of the defenders. VIc is not a target man, maybe not even an out and out striker....Everton have to figure this out. If he is a wide forward then he needs to be coached in that way. If he is a striker, then the same. He doesnt strike me as the smartest guy in the world, so he isnt going to figure this out for himself. However, after such a long time out, he clearly has some hunger and he is HUGE (so no need to go down like a fairy)

We'll all just have to take Mr ITK's word for it then lads, let him keep banging drums because he is privy to info that we aren't.
It's not like any of us have reason to doubt anything that he posts, and I'm sure he'll post it again to reiterate his point.

Besides the repressed anger and the backstabbing going on, It seems Victor might have been watching a few video's of strikers picking up some ideas and intelligence. Because heaven knows at the moment there doesn't seem to be a great deal to learn from Saha or Straquaman. I'd like Victor to be a powerhouse forward, up for a ruck and adept in the air like a certain Les Ferdinand from not so long back.

I'd like you to prove where I, the original poster have said half of that.

The criticism I've made of him has been about his WELL DOCUMENTED bad attitude. I also know of what actually went on outside that jewellers and things like that not in the public domain (and won't be shared by me either). Where he was extremely immature and a downright disgrace.

However, as noted in the original post - his attitude of late has MUCH improved. He needed to grow up and now he seems to be. Finally. So that he can start realising his potential.

If he sorted his head out he'd be a top player. So hopefully this is happening now.

I'd like you to prove where i have quoted you as saying that, Pick your dummy up of the floor and put it back in mouth

You pretty much accused EVERYONE in the thread of doing that. Me included.

So rather than me picking the dummy up, you want to pick your own up as it's you thats spat it out.

You me make me laugh stalker-lid. Trying to go off topic in yet another thread... Thinking I give a flying one.

Its well known around and about what actually happened outside the jewellers where he ended up arrested. I will say no more except. Anichebe was extremely immature and frankly I agree with his self assessment - STUPID.

Thankfully however he seems to have grown up somewhat. His attitude in the past has been a disgrace. Now is the time for him to show us this maturity and for him to realise his potential.

Really rate big vic, need more games though get his match fitness up, strong, decent pace and good finish. Injuries have hindered his progress but this could be his year, maybe we don't need a striker after all?

This is a forum, a football forum. What are you expecting? Hypocrisy rules on all football forums - there is always someone or a group proclaiming to be able to see the truth - when things don't go their way they go all quiet. What are you expecting? opinions are like bumholes, everybody has one. If you can't beat them, join them. I always knew Victor was an amazing player and the future of Everton - even when I said he was rubbish and wanted him flogged to Hull I knew he was amazing. Our number 9 for the next 10 years easy.
So
are you agreeing with me in my post when i said we are fickle, ie **** him off one week and then just because he scores the next week he has potential and is improving, cause it seems to me you are. And yes we all have opinions and mine is some people on this forum are fickle. Think vic is ace one week and then just because he scores the next week start saying the potential is there his attitude has improved. I bet if he has not scored yesterday and you asked people on here, they would have said never gonna make it, bad attitude etc etc

Because there are some posts in this thread who are praising vic, yet only 2-3 weeks ago if you had started this exact same thread you would have got a completely different response. People are being fickle because he scores 2 goals then all of a sudden are saying he has done this he has sone that. If he had not scored the 2 goals of late you would not have started this thread and i would also think you would be one of the vic bashers.

RUBBISH.

You couldn't if you try, find any thread in which I am "bashing" the players.

Its his overall game in which is being referred to. And his attitude. Its not fickle to praise a player who is applying himself in a better fashion than he had been. One who was risking wasting his potential. One who's attitude had been extremely questionable.

But who is doing now what he should be doing when we see him.
