Bill Kenwright

Maybe a clause in his contract that's what most sensible tea......oh wait a minute..
yeah because a player is really going to sign a contract with a relegation clause at a club who look like they might be relegated, where will that leave him then at 33 ?

Match of the day recently put up a list of players who we have bought over the last 5 years or so, in total there was at least 250m worth of players who we got nothing back for, and you think we should of thrown away another 20 on this one?

As a free agent having pocketed a few mil...he'd be alright, though he'd be 34 by the summer
I don't think he's worth 20mil, but the fact we haven't an adequte striker due to the failings of our board and owner(before you get your knickers in a twist) that 20mil might mean not losing premier league status. It might not too.
This isn't some moment of brilliant leadership from Kenwright though I know you are trying to paint it as such. This is scrambling around in the last few days due to a failure of leadership from him, and everyone else that is involved in transfers.

Moshiri is a terrible owner, let's make no mistake about that, but Billy Liar has been running this club into the ground for the past two decades, he has sold anything that wasn't screwed down and told lie after lie to keep control of the club. The process was accelerated when Moshiri came in and started throwing money at the club, the club which, by the way, Kenwright was still running on a day to day basis and between them they have contrived to get us to where we are now.

In my opinion Kenwright is the more culpable of the two, because he has been shown as a serial liar and he tries to project this 'Greatest living Evertonian' image, whilst clinging to his position and watching the club tear itself apart. It's just business to Moshiri, he doesn't claim to be a fan. Kenwright, on the other hand...if he really was an Evertonian he would have sold long before he did, to one of the potential buyers who were not prepared to allow him to continue as chairman and certainly would resign now for the sake of unity at the club.

I still think for the last six years you can’t look past Moshiri because he owns the club and should therefore be the king decision makers, but over the course of the last 25 years, it’s undoubted that Kenwright has done the most long term damage to the club…..just very very selfish and narcissistic man

Kenwright will still be telling himself a narrative that says all the fans who oppose him are wrong and he must stay in charge as the only one who can guide us out of this mess, without for a second considering that he might be responsible for us being there in the first place. It’s staggering really.

i always finds it fascinating however that the CEO appears to never come in for as harsh a treatment as the owner or chairman. She should be the top executive decision maker in the business…..all lines directly or indirectly report in to her, and whilst she is criticised occasionally either as part of the group, or more infrequently as an individual she never seems to be at the forefront of it. She is equally as culpable for the current predicament. She needs to show more leadership and if she thinks BK is not acting in the best interests of the club she should stand up and let Moshiri know.

Moshiri's/Usmanov's main mistake was that he thought he could leave the same regime at the helm and just throw money at the mess of a club they'd created and just watch from afar. He paid off the debts accrued over the previous decades and has chucked hundreds of millions at multiple managers and the stadium project. He provided the readies and it's been squandered by those supposedly running the club.

Yes, it’s almost like there’s more to owning a football club than just chucking a load of money into a big pot for someone and that Moshiri should’ve understood this after years in the game.

That's coz she's gone missing in some lad's armpit. Out of sight, out of mind and all that

Yes.... like finding the right people to manage the club and spend it. Certainly not the chairman who sold everything that was or wasn't nailed down just to stay afloat and in control and who had presided over the longest barren spell in the club's history.
