seems to be quite a lot of questions being asked of whether or not a hotel in L4 is a viable option (I think not, for what it's worth) but it should be taken into account the overall picture of what's being mooted here is a redevelopment of goodison, isn't that what we need to discuss ?

Yes it is but it seems to have turned into discussion on whether you approve of the BU or not. Which completely misses the nub of the issue which is whether or not Goodison can be redeveloped for £100m.

Would it really cost that much to purchase the area between the bullens and stanley park or is more about where'd you'd put the primary school and those displaced...if you could do it and turn the pitch 45-90 degrees, plenty of room, no?

I think there's an arterial road in the way

As always - shoot, discredit, demomise, the messenger.

100M this, I presume won't be up front all at once, nor will the ground rennos. One side at a time. In theory 25M per side on average, with the longer side a bit more and the shorter goals a bit less
But in theory 25M

3M less than that big pudding who can't trap a bag of cement.

So it was this Sat eh, might explain the BU hatchet job the club ( suppossedly ) planted on Toffeeweb earlier in the week

Well, obviously you wouldn't cut off Walton Ln...Muriel, Diana and Bullens would be the ones to go.

Given that the rs were going to get a big chunk any way, it would not be the end of the world to cut the corner of Stanley park for the new main road.
In fact do it first. which would give minimum disruption and leave space for all the stuff associated with a big build, site office, workers parking and facilities, materials storage and unloading space

That's a really good shout in fairness.

Problem of space sorted.

@chicoazul if I can think of it and others can think of other stuff and we don't claim to be experts and the board can hire real experts??????

Not can't won't.
TBH theres a million different ideas and ways but it will always break down when it comes to funding. They want it for free, they dont have the slightest idea how they will fund it

I don't think a funding issue is the main blocker, yeah I know 15-20M+for the park end doesn't grow on trees.
It comes down to where there's a will, there's a way
There's enough money on that board to fund 15M

This is the same board that has not invested 1 penny of their own money

'Other Operating Expenses'...I wonder what's in that box season after season??
