Thought Usyk would be too small but that was a masterclass tonight, reminded me a lot of Fury's performance in Germany against Wladimir. Hat's off too him.

AJ obviously has deep holes in his game but I do think he could and should have done better there tonight, he needs to bin off McCracken and get with a trainer who can tinker with his style a bit. Peter Fury would be a perfect I think but surely that won't happen, even if he has fell out with Tyson. Maybe Tommy Brooks if he's still in the sport?

If it was a one off then I’d agree and say maybe it was the Fury fight falling through that’s left him a bit spaced out but the exact same thing happened with Ruiz.

He was supposed to be fighting that other flabby clown Miller before Ruiz had to step in after the positive drug test and smashed him.

He’s had months to prepare for Usyk.

I just think he’s the heavyweight Amir Khan... Olympic pedigree, talented and public darling but a jaw like an old school ashtray.

Dillian Whyte made a great comment on the Dazn commentary. He basically said Joshua allows these fighters to get into his head when they are all nice to him. He said he was concerned for Joshua when he seen the selfie of the two before the fight.

Joshua is a very good fighter, the Ruiz fight, it was probably a mixture of things. Late replacement, the whole Miller thing, the Wilder fight build up, he shown in the rematch he was levels above. Tonight he just fought a fighter who is elite and a stylistic nightmare for him.

Joshua isn’t really chinny, every time he’s been hurt or down is due to shots to the temple. Khan was getting wobbled off fighters from divisions below off Jabs. Huge difference.

Dig up Manny Steward!

BBC calling it bang on…

Joshua had no answer to Usyk and while his opponent glided across the ring, the champion appeared to be dragging his feet through mud. There was no attempt to bully Usyk, wear him down or go to the body.

It was a strange, almost hapless display from Joshua which leaves his legacy as one of the heavyweight greats in ruins.
Hapless or hopeless?

Would say that's a harsh assessment to be honest, it's not like he just lost to a supposed walk-over. Usyk is probably the best heavyweight technically for many years. The Ruiz loss was far, far worse for his legacy.

The concerning thing tonight though is it didn't feel like a Rocky-esque fluke result like MSG did, tonight he didn't pose Usyk any sort of problem really or do anything that will give encouragement for a rematch. If his promoters weren't money-orientated they'd step back and build him up again with a new trainer.

Was surprised at his unwillingness to let the punches go and how he made no effort at all to impose himself on usyk as the naturally bigger man. I think, if he takes the rematch, he needs to come in heavier, make it a really horrible physical battle for usyk and be prepared to take some shots to land his own. Pretty much the polar opposite of what tonight was. Oh, and bin off his trainer, freshen himself up.

Can't for the life of me understand why Joshua didn't sour the fight and tie up/lean all over usyk from round one? Make being the heavyweight count if your not gonna throw punches. Trying to box him was idiotic.

I suppose he's never had the ring craft to begin with, but he played right into Usyks hands tonight.

Usyk-Fury would be worth the ppv, and I wouldn't rule out the Ukranian against any man - what a fighter.

Tyson should do that yank dosser again to set it up, if his heads screwed on right.
