Boxing

i see jake paul has announced he will fight tommy fury next on December 18th

first actual boxer he will have competed against, but even that is debateable when you consider some of tommy fury's opponents.

Is he an actual legit boxer ? I saw him on an undercard once and he looked like a youtube boxer, in-fact i remember thinking he looked even worse than that.

his first fight was an amateur fight with headguards against a youtuber, he then got a pro boxing licence and fought another youtuber, then he fought a former NBA player and then he fought 2 UFC fighters. His last fight was his toughest one against Tyron Woodley but he won on points.

he's got a boxing deal with Showtime and they are using his status as a famous youtuber to create fights which will attract a big audience because of his dislikeability. They are trying to get him to fight these NBA and UFC people because they have no boxing background really and he should be able to defeat them because he's been training with professional coaches for a few years now. He's not a great boxer, against a decent opponent he will lose but the fights have been cherry picked to make him look better than he actually is.

I probably didn’t make myself clear but I was talking about Tommy Fury, unfortunately I know all about Jake Paul

tommy fury has been boxing for years he made his professional debut in 20188 but again his opponents have been cherry picked for him, on the last jake paul fight he was on the undercard and he fought some tiny guy and won by unanimous decision. All his opponents prior to that have had terrible records.

There's not a doubt in my mind that every fight he has been in besides the youtuber ones have been fixed.

Askren didn't even bother getting in fighting shape and took a dive in the 1st round.

Woodley hurt him and then didn't finish him off when he was legless tangled in the ropes.

He's not a boxer.

Canelo KO'ing Plant yesterday was quite satisfying. Especially after a decent amount of smack talking from Plant in the leadup.

First ever Undisputed Super-Middleweight Champ apparently!
Thought Plant did OK, myself , don't know if he was carrying an injury because he wasn't throwing his right for half the fight.
Canelo apologies about the mother fker remarks refreshing to see as well.

He did better than I thought he would. But Canelo still dominated that fight, and seemingly had zero respect for Plant's power.

I think the reason he wasn't throwing, was because he was scared of being countered. Even when Canelo leaned back on the ropes, dropped his hands and beckoned him in, Plant still stood there and refused to throw.

8-2, 7-3 cards were fair IMO.

I properly laughed at the reddit cards that, seriously, had Plant up by 4.

Plant by 4 ?
Thought Plant was doing OK, but was at least a couple of rounds down, wasn't aggressive enough in parts and didnt put enough work in to be anything like up, but still did himself proud
Benuvista( think that's how you spell it) fights this week he is an interesting fighter in that weight , tall, fast and very aggressive , normally get a decent show out of him.

Thought BT were making it to be much closer than it was too, as said a couple of early rounds were contentious but canelo reeled off 5 or 6 in a row before the stoppage.

Anyone watch the Boxxxer series on sky Saturday night, prizefighter format. Was really entertaining.

Thought Tom Farrel should have won it in the final there, performed brilliantly. Came out to z-cars aswel.
