Boxing

Don't agree mate.

Sprott is an extremely experienced fighter and whilst Joshua should put him away with ease, it's very early in this lads career and he needs to be handled with extreme care. He'll slowly but surely be put in with better and better opponents and we'll see if his quality can carve through the division.

He's 10 fights in mate. Sprott was finished 10 years ago. I'm not suggesting he should be fighting for belts but he should be fighting real tests at this point. This is just easy ticket selling. He won't learn anything from Sprott he didn't learn from the fella the other day.

Just watched the ringside episode on Bellew Cleverly, Bellew wasn't half talking sh!te on numerous occasions, still not going forking out for ppv.

Had a look at the 24/7 episode of Hopkins Kovalev, like him or loathe him Hopkins story is an unbelievable one, 49 years of age and still competing at the top level, could be a bridge too far this though, id pay to watch that before the Bellew fight.

desperately trying to sell that fight now, can't imagine they are doing great numbers, arena sold out quickly though.

Can't see Hopkins winning, and that's coming from someone who backed him to beat Pascal, frustrating that it isn't stevenson vs kovalev, such is modern day boxing

Agree entirely steks, sprott is in for a pasting, 2 rounds max, too small as well, they need to at least match him with someone who can match his size at this stage, having said that, I wouldn't want to matchmake a heavyweight prospect, must be a nightmare getting him decent sparring let alone fights

I think it will be the last time Bhop will enter a ring, Kovalev will destroy him. Bhop has to go down as one of the best though imo.

I can only imagine mate. There must be some durable types over the water who'll take him five or six and ask a few questions. It looks like they're trying to make money from day one. They'll make it when he's a world champ if they play it right. Seems to happen to all the british prospects and it gets on me nerves.

Tony Thompson who beat David Price twice recently would be just that person to take him over 5 or 6 rounds, it just may be too big a challenge for Anthony at this early stage of his career.

No ones bar Floyd is better at avoiding trouble than Hopkins. I don't think he'll get a real hiding, as such.
I hope he doesn't, he has achieved so much and it would be a real shame to see him bow out on the end of a hiding. If you saw Ringside on Sky Sports last night Tony Bellew was saying that Hopkins had the choice of Kovalev or Adonis Stevenson and he personally chose Kovalev because he believes he can play to his weaknesses. Kovalev is beatable, He is not Golovkin.

I think he might be a bit green for Thompson. He's one I'd be looking at 3 or 4 fights from now. It wouldn't be a bad idea to go in with Price in the next fight or two.

I think they could have done a better undercard to make it more appealing, they have a lot of decent names on there but i'm sceptical as to whether any of them will be competitive bouts, listening to Eddie Hearn saying Quigg is making a huge step up in class, dont make me laugh, he's fighting a fella who's never fought outside his country and even still he's record isn't all that.

Would love to have seen Kovalev Stevenson too, so many good fights not getting any closer to being done, disappointed in GGG'S next opponent too, he's looked brilliant granted, but hasn't been in with anyone near elite level yet. Cant see Murray causing him any problems having watched his last two poor affairs in monte carlo.

Like you say thats the issue with modern day boxing, so frustrating not seeing these fights being made.
