Boxing

Not saying it wasn’t but Fury did a great job against Klitschko, Joshua’s fight was more thrilling and exciting. On the score card, wasn’t Joshua winning on all the cards?
What has more thrilling and exciting got to do with being a better win. Joshua was all over the gaff against WK and should have been stopped, he would have aid Wlad was a few years younger and sharper.

You didn’t answer the question either, you stated AJ had beaten more world champions than Fury, who are these fellows?

It’s hard to beat multiple word champions when one man held the majority of them for years. Fury beat THE world champion, Joshua never has. He fought for vacant belts that Fury left behind. What legitimate reigning world champion did AJ beat, Charles Martin, Parker? Get real.

To be fair though with your arguement, Klitschko won the vacant WBO belt after it was dropped, it happens in Boxing. You can only beat the world champion that’s in front of you. The was a reason Fury dropped those belts. Is the division meant to stand still? Whatever way you look at it, you become a world champion by beating the current world
Champion. If you wanna go technical, then majority of these fighters ain’t real world champions cos they fight for vacant titles all the time. Did Vitali Klitschko reign mean nothing cos he fought for a vacant world title? Does many other world champions not classed as a real champion because they fought for vacant world titles?

Fury beat THE man, recognised lineal champion.

AJ beat Charles Martin who won a vacant title after his opponent twisted his ankle, and Jospeh Parker which at the time was an ok win but hasn’t really aged well.

Depends what way you look at it though, probably til tonight, Joshua had a better resume than Fury.

Just because Joshua loses to Usyk twice, doesn’t meant he isn’t a great fighter. Joshua would still go down as a bigger legacy fight than any of the others he’s beat, especially in this country.
I don't agree with that.

I've always liked AJ , he is a fantastic role model and a wonderful athlete.

However to suggest that his resume stacks up against Fury is inaccurate imo.

AJs opponents were very very carfully selected.

He beat Klitchko when he was way past his best and Parker who really isn't top class.

He loves to an unknown Ruiz who was totally unfit and outclassed by Usyk.

Fury on the other hand who personally I cannot warm to went to the back yard of Wilder and has beaten him 3 times ( it was never a draw in the 1st fight ).

We will probably never get to find out because AJ will lose the rematch and Fury may well retire but I don't see any chance of AJ beating Fury.

Povetkin
Klitschko
Parker
Ruiz
Puluv?

I’m saying Joshua’s win over Klitschko was a better win because of the spectacle of it all, thrilling fight, entertaining, both went down, was in front of Wembley, many consider it one of the greatest heavyweight fights of all time.

Fury’s win over Klitschko was just as much as a great win no doubt, but Joshua vs Klitschko will go down as the better fight.

That’s my point, Klitschko was the lineal champion, but he become the lineal champion due to Lewis retiring him, not because he beat him. So by your margain of Martin and Parker only been champions because of Fury “retiring” then his reign means nothing, because Klitschko didn’t beat the man. And if you want to go technical, we can go all the way back.

Wilder become a world champion by beating a man who was the champion because he won a vacant title. It’s swings and round abouts. You can’t have it both ways and discredit a fighter because he’s beaten a world champion who became a world champion, due to winning a vacant title.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think either Povetkin or Pulev where world champions. Klitschko wasn’t either at the time they fought.

Ruiz smashed AJ to bits.

Parker, ok.

WK was reigning champion for nearly a decade, that adds some substance to his claim don’t you think. I’m not going technical I’m being realistic, if your recognising Charles Martin as a proper world champion then I have no words to continue this.

Did Fury beat a prime Klitschko? No, he never. Joshua beat a two year older version of Klitschko who’s been out the ring.

Ruiz was unknown? To whom? The fans who only turn in to the big fights? You do realise Ruiz should of been a world champion, when he got robbed to Parker? The was many people, who fancied Ruiz over Joshua. People who actually watch boxing, especially with been a late replacement, smaller, his whole game plan been thrown off.

Fury’s wins over Wilder are impressive, because he beat him in his back yard, not because of the fighter himself. Wilder is a one trick pony, always has been.

Usyk vs Joshua was always a tricky fight and the is no shame in losing to Usyk, embarrassed him? No he wasn’t embarrassed the way it was made out.

Klitchko and Wilder, including the timing and manner of the fights are head and shoulders above any win AJ has done.

Povetkin was a former world champion, well technically was a regular world champion, so not sure if you class it as a world title.

Not sure if Pulev was a world champion but pretty sure he won the IBF and lost it to Klitschko. Might be wrong on that.

I meant he’s beat more world champions than Fury.

Joshua at this point will not be a bigger legacy fight than WK or Wilder 1&2.

3 years ago yes, not any more. I would be surprised if you got any less than 4/1 on an AJ win.

Yeah of course it adds substance but to call yourself the man, you have to beat the man right?

End of the day, he’s still a world champion of whatever way you look at it. You can only beat what’s out on front of you.

My god you are clutching at straws now classing the WBA regular as a world title, it’s like saying Rocky Fielding was a world champion.

Pulev wasn’t a world champion either.
