Boxing

When was the last time anyone got robbed in Germany? I mean properly robbed?

Groves got robbed against Froch the first time, Beltran got robbed against Burns, that Brian Rose bloke got beat the sh*t out of by a guy called Maciel in a final eliminator yet got given the decision and went onto to fight for the world title which he did not deserve.

The UK has the worst reputation in boxing right now when it comes to the "away fighter" getting the short end of the stick.

There has been some shockers, the worst I think I watched was Paul McCloskey beating Breidis Prescott, felt fair sorry for Prescott that night, and what made it worse was the fact it was unanimous.

I wouldnt take to much from the their fights so far at cruiser. At lighter weights cleverly has had more competeive fights. Thats not to say bellews power at cruiser wont take clevely out but lets also not forget that bellew is the one who very nearly got stopped himself at this weight.

well that's your choice but there is no doubt Bellew has had tougher opponents at cruiserweight.

i still think cleverly will win on points though

You have to take it in context though mate, all four opponents have padded records and have lost as soon as they step up to a decent level. Its not like bellew has fought a contender and cleverly a jouneyman.
You would expect cleverly to beat bellews two opponents easily and viceversa

Off the top of my head, Huck vs aslan, huck vs lebedev, macklijn vs sturm was pretty bad, the refereeing in every kiltscko fight. But we are talking about reputations here, I also had smith down by a few though the cards were wide, but if we can't complain about that then your examples don't quite stand up, Groves vs froch was stopped early, but was groves robbed of certain victory? not for me, beltran was poor, no doubt, ,aciel threw the fight away by punching in flashy bunches then allowing rose back into the fight, I still had Maciel up, but like I said the UK is not perfect and there are too many home town decisions, but to suggest the UK had the worst reputation in world boxing is hyperbole and complete nonsense, the US has more dodgy decisions, and in the amateur world the UK still has one of the better reputations in comparison to other countries in europe like the old eastern block nations.

not that he has any great wins, but you could argue bellews opponents at light heavy where better than cleverlys after the first fight fight, i'd take chilemba and miranda over hawk and karpency, not that it makes bellew favourite as their own first fight must be considered, but I'm not sure cleverly has fought the better opponents in other fights
