Think it's been a belting world cup. Very memorable on and off the field.

And what Dutch toffee up to? Probably smashed off his tits smoking a vuvuzala and suppin grolsh by the litre

Just warming up nicely now. Not before time.

True. Its been far better than the previous 2 world cups IMO. Shocks galore.

And I hope the argies win it. Diego is a nut case and his mentality of ******* the defence off to score as many goals as possible is genius.

It's like his attitude is: "I'm the greatest player of all time. If we win this WC it'll be down to me; if we lose it, at least all the dopes will forget about comparing Messi with me. It's all good"

I'd be happy with any of the teams left in the competition winning it now - apart from Spain. Brazil and Spain I didn't want to see win it. One down, one to go. The Spaniards aren't all that, though. Either Argentina or Germany will take them down. Ideally I'd like to see an Argentina v Holland final. I'd be happy seeing either win: Argentina for Maradona and Messi's sake; Holland because they are a great footballing nation that should have been winners before now to cement their status.

Wouldnt disagree with any of that mate would be great seeing the Dutch finally take home the WC l;ong over due - would also like to see Cruyff knocked of his perch after his comments.

Agreed on Maradonna and Messi - Argentina would go potty.

Spain have to much of a Liverpool association for me to warm to them, i think their defence will catch up with them.

Ze Germans have a big chance for me Mueller and Ozil are special players and with a bit of expierence and functionality behind them they are match for whatevers left.

Uruguay and Ghana either would be great to see in the final, we all love an under dog.

Its hard to call this one

I thought the previous two tournaments were far, far better. It's not the shocks Im basing it upon but the quality and excitement of the games, I think it's been hard to really get into this one, which is a shame.

Good to see Dunga leaving. I prefer Brazil with more flair, tricks, flicks and loads of goals. They seems to lose the philosophy of out scoring opponents at all cost. This Brazil side is the dullest I've seen since 1990.

Congratulation to the Dutch, it's about time to see them win it for once. They deserve it more than anyone else.

I thought the Japan - South Korea one was a bit of a poor one - this one is begining to heat up now - though its prob the most cynical one in terms of play i have lived through.

Professional fouls
Dives
Time wasting
Feigning injury
Players looking for others to be booked

Sad to see!

Did I miss much? All I knew was that it was 1-0 , then I remember my mate telling me it was 2-1.

COME ON YOU BELGS!!!

It was Barca-Inter redux. The match was a disgrace. It's funny how the Dutch couldn't win the WC playing total football so they resort to this crap. After watching the C-League and now this its pretty apparent that it was Leeds and not the Dutch/Ajax teams of the 70s that played football that was way ahead of their time.

COME ON URUGRAY!!!!!!!

It's funny but I really enjoyed that one. I was right in the eye of the storm with the host nation so perhaps I missed something..

Every day was a huge party, Germany 2006 was reasonable, but this one has been really, really terrible. The amount of games I've sat down to watch and then drifted away from because they are so boring is unreal. Also if I'm tired at all the vuvuzela's actually send me to sleep for minutes at a time. (I am watching the games at 3:30 AM though~!)

I think the level of certain national teams have defo stepped up from previous tournaments. Only North Korea (minus the 1st game where they put a good account of themselves) were the only ones that looked out of their depth. New Zealand, Swiss, Greece while never playing amazing football certainly stiffled teams and looked like good organised units.

Then you have the USA, Japan, Ghana, the South American teams like Chile all stepping up and showing some real quality.

Then you have big countries that have just hit and end of an era - England, France and Italy. Then ones that look fresh and exciting like Germany.

IMO there maybe a lack of goal fests like the previous World Cup, but I think the all round game has improved radically for a lot of teams technically and in their organisation. Then there's the shockers...which always keeps a lid on his toes.

Just finished watching this on ze Sky+ nursing a horrible Absinthe hangover.

[Poor language removed] game to be honest, but that might be more to do with the fact that my head feels like a diseased hand.
