Brendan Galloway

Appeals for our Brendan from Paul Suart of The Birmingham Mail:

Allan Nyom made a bright start to his Albion career, but has regressed in recent weeks.

A right-sided defender trying his best at left-back, Nyom has begun to look uncomfortable and has been exposed, albeit by top notch opposed.

It's time Brendan Galloway, who has not featured since the 4-2 win over West Ham in September, was given another go.

The 20-year-old is perhaps better equipped than Nyom to deal with the trickery of Riyad Mahrez down Leicester's right flank.

Galloway is competent going forward which makes him even more suited for this game if Pulis' pledge to "have a go" at Leicester is anything to go by.

Why this lad was loaned out leaving us with only Oviedo to back up a now sadly injury prone Baines is beyond me. Nearly as bad as the decision to give Gibson a new contract.

Not in the starting XI again today, although on the subs bench. Frustrating, this. Pulis clearly doesn't rate him. Starting Nyom, a right back, ahead of him. Just needs to get his head down and fight for his place.

I still cannot believe the club gave Gibson a new contract before Koeman arrived. An amateur move

I woudn't read too much into not starting in a Pulis side although i don't rate Galloway as much as others on here played poorly since he was dropped last season Holgate on the other hand deserves a push played well at right back eager to see more of him at cb futures bright for this kid

This is another one for me, I would have Holgate in the side over Coleman. I may be wrong but I think Coleman's best days attacking wise are behind him and he is not good enough for me to get into the side just purely for his defending. I would rather get hammered by Chelsea giving the likes of Holgate and Galloway if he was still here a go than Coleman and Oviedo. For me they are both better defenders, they may have the odd nightmare along the way but can they do any worse than the showing from last night. Same goes for Davies over Cleverley.

Although we've only seen glimpses of Davies he does have a fearless swagger about him similar to stones early days if we aren't gonna spend big then at least give theses guys a chance even if it's coming off the the bench and i don't mean when we're 5-0 down ffs ha !
