Pickford currently plays behind a brilliant left back, a permutation of several international centre backs, Coleman who only recently has fallen off, and a def midfield of Gueye and Gomes, the latter of whom is a quality operator.

Pickford conceded a goal a game nearly at the World Cup too, behind Stones and Maguire, quality players.

He's a total mess.

Yeah but they have sorted themselves out haven’t they. They’ve got arguably the best defender around in van dijk who has made everything easy for the others around him. Robertson has been better than everyone expected and Alexander-Arnold clearly has ability. Look at their bench today compared to ours and they have quality strength in depth.. We have niasse. Unfortunately they have the bit between their teeth and they have extra momentum from the derby.

We would have conceded more today with stekelenburg in.

You have absolutely no proof of that at all. On the other hand, we DO have proof that Pickford conceded again, has let in something astonishing like a 100 goals since he joined, and it doesn't matter who lines up in front of him, invariably we have to score at least twice to win because he is a guaranteed goal conceded.

Can't even imagine what his clean sheet record for us must be.
