I'm all for it, its a only fighting chance to clubs from smaller leagues, Benelux league, Portugese in Spanish league, Balkan league (but no Serbs and Croats together because it got potential to cause war) and letting Austrian clubs into Bundesliga, shame that former imperial city like Vienna found itself prisoner of small country with few mountains
 
I just wish they would stop saying they want the league to be 18 Clubs, I am not a fan of that and that to me would lead to more Internationals, or whatever they could think off, but for me Celtic and Rangers if they came to England should start at the bottom

The league going to 18 clubs is to do with the extra 4 european games that are going to be played by all 7 premier league teams in Europe, from the 2024/25 season. So id doubt the games would be replaced with internationals.

I am hoping that instead of reducing the league they have the teams in europe join the 2 cups later so they keep the league the same size

Yeah, cos they really need the advantage. NO this is pandering to them as well, they have huge squads they use them. Sick of these clubs being given an unfair lift up in competitions just for money.

It's the gate receipts that earn them money as it's an equal split. So an away game at Goodison will be a nice earner for a League 2 side. The League Cup offers more opportunities for such a game because you have the extra tournament. You may think it's pointless, but the point is, those teams do not. You telling them what they should find important is no different to Real and Juve telling us to go sniff it.

So lets all conform and bow to their demands, and ruin football as we know, so we can cater to these teams?

Less leagues, means less competition for the Elite competitions which means easier access.

Netherlands + Belgium
Austria & Germany
Balkan Leagues, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Greece whatever (they've just nations I can think of which have had sides in the CL in recent seasons)

So lets throw away access to 6-7 places, and who gets them? Ah okay.

The only reason these leagues may form together is because they can't compete already with these leagues, the only long term solution is having a transfer cap and wage cap, to ensure every team is equally allowed to compete.

I'm assuming with a name of Stipe, you have Balkan ties? Let me make it clear.... the Beneliga may happen, but we will never, back down from our beautiful game to cater to the needs of others.

Its not just about that, it's about actual days to play these 4 games. You may see it as pandering, but the alternative will be that these clubs either drop out of the competition or play their u23s because the fixtures will be so close together. I'm fairly certain that the sponsors and organisers would rather have these teams in the competition.

Premier league teams already enter the FA Cup at the 3rd round and for the league cup the teams in Europe enter at the 3rd round, the Premier league teams not in Europe enter at the 2nd round. So what I said is already happening, I'm just talking about extending it
