If it gets postponed into next year can any signings made in January be eligible to play even if the game was supposed to be played this calendar year?

To me it reads as essentially the same squad that went to Chelsea with the additions of Digne and DCL. If that’s the case, you can see why the request was rejected.

It’s far from ideal but a scratch team went to Chelsea and dogged a result out. With the introduction of Digne and DCL (yes, 2 months out and that) to the team there’s no reason we can’t get something from this against, let’s face it, a crap Burnley side.

I get ones wanting the game to go ahead, but if we have even a couple more starters out since Chelsea, and we're relying on Dom and Digne, i could see us getting turned over and being sucked right into the relegation dogfight when Dom tears his quad from being rushed back too soon.

But we have 5 players out with Covid19, apparently they got it at Chelsea so presumably were either playing V Chelsea or were on the subs bench.
