I think it will get postponed this despite the initial refusal. The premier league like to leave it a bit closer to the game day to get an accurate number of positive covid tests. If we still have 5 or more tomorrow they will probably agree to postpone it. I for one hope they do. The least amount of games we play before the January window is open the better.

Everton are paying a political price here: this Tory Government are determined to keep places open for commercial reasons and not create an atmosphere where everyone is spooked that things are not well - and if a whole raft of Boxing Day games were postponed again that's what would happen.

The losses we have with Covid are ridiculous and handing postponements to other clubs who had the same or less does not tally.
