I think we need to focus on Jose solely until his future is decided one way or the other. If he goes elsewhere then we move on.

The one thing that is getting my hopes up is that the new Portugese superkid has just got transferred to Bayern, if Mourinho was in line for United he would surely have had a word and got him to wait and join United. Probably building my hopes up for nothing but still worth grasping.

Jose has something to prove now for the first time in years. He will of been hurt by what happened at Chelsea and might see Everton as a new type of challenge .. He knows all about the passion of the club and would have hero status from day 1 .... Maybe just maybe ??? Keep hoping

Even if we have only a forlorn hope of landing Jose, I think it would be a great PR move to keep floating his name as a possible candidate.

Having our name linked with his in newspaper headlines and even bellend radio presenters dismissing the idea live on the air is of itself sending out a message that Everton are in the market for a coach of a higher standard than the run of the mill names they were linking us with in the twenty four hours after Bobby's fall.

The talk now is off Jose, De Boer and Koeman.
