Can We Succeed Next Season Without Breaking FFP?

If were moving Richarlison on then we'd need to get 2 players in return.

Barca id take Emerson and Araujo...but probably want some cash on top.

Madrid: Valverde, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Militao

Inter: Hakimi, Bastoni, Lautaro,Barella

Would they be open to letting those players go and would the players want to move...

Whats Araujo like? But yes a couple of them and Coutinho would be good.

We can’t succeed lol We’ll spend a moderate amount of money on older injury prone players, miss out out glaring weak spots and refuse to play any youth like normal.

With a overhaul and added pace i don't see why not.

And Carlo can go to is tried and trusted devastating counter attack football like his Real Madrid and Milan teams was famous for.

We will definitely be after the best players in the euros, wouldn't worry about fair play the dont punish the fans anymore.

Coutinho is 29 next season coming off a long layoff, like James he struggled in Spain and at Bayern being a bench player.

It's exactly those kind of signings that have held us back for donkey's years, buying someone off past glories, who are just not on the pitch enough.

He'll be here topping up his post career earnings and having BBQ's and Dinner's with the RS Brazilian contingent.

I mean have signings like James really held us back? I would say he is one of the few bright spots of this season. Overpaying for average players because they are under 25 has been a much bigger problem in my view.

If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got. Time has come to look beyond the next season. We need to develop a young, fit, hungry squad. Give the likes of Nkounkou, Simms, Gordon etc. a chance and make more signings of the Godfrey type.

We are a million miles of the quality of the top 6, squad wise, and it is something we will not fix by signing older players on their way down, we need hunger right through the squad.

I think James is a fabulous footballer and I love the fact that he is playing for us, but, players of his profile should be the exception rather than the rule here. We really should not be signing any more former super stars on the way down. We need to develop a core of steel and a will to win.

Powerful, quick under 25’s with a winner’s attitude should be the order of the day from now on. Next season, ideally, should be one when we can see the profile of our squad beginning to evolve.
While I ideally would love to see this, you don't sign a manager like Carlo to build for long term success.

The gap in quality between their side and ours is huge though. I think we'd need 5 new players to be able to compete with that squad in terms of ability.

We have 'names' in our squad and people with some experience and pedigree from good clubs, but no pace, no balance, no tough players. Amazing that our recruitmnet has been like this!

Disagree.

Ginola was a top class signing.

Coutinho is obviously very talented, but it doesn't make sense for a few reasons

- I would rather we don't buy ex RS - something in football has to stay old fashioned and sacred?!
- It doesn't feel good buying an ex-Red, because it's annoying enough having to deal with them
- Only if we get rid of Gylfi, Gomes & Bernard it will work
- Where will he play? Is he really going to alternate with James? Both together won't work.
- He played for Liverpool
- He played for Liverpool

Suggest you read Carlo's book. He says himself that he has always been attracted by longer-term projects. The very nature of the football industry is that what he is offered is often sold to him as a longer-term project, but the impatience of either the fanbase or the owner (and often both) tends to derail things.
