Given the choice between hiring a vastly experienced guy who knows what a winning team looks like or hiring an apprentice unknown or worse a proven clueless loser, who would you hire?

I would absolutely understand them not caring about us... it’s the fact that they seem at times to go out of their way to put us down/put us in our place that I find weird

I am like you. Dont care, not even a little bit, what The Media say or do. They have their clicks to get, viewers to view, and sell the PL product.

If our story improves any of that, (which I hope it will), they will come a calling.

Well they clearly do care about us otherwise they wouldn't be doing hit pieces on us all the time

If West Ham or Newcastle for instance were going for a manager of Ancelotti's standing the media would be going nuts. Just look at the reaction when Benitez went to Newcastle for instance, the media were lapping it up

Ancelotti is supposed to be taking over training on Monday. Doubt they also wait until Monday for all the press conferences and such.

No, no he wasn't. He had a decent season with Saints, then second season absolutely tanked, went on a very poor run like Silva did between the two derbies last year. He was rated in name only.
