It's not like he couldn't go down a level or two there. It's winning %, not games won.Probably more reason to keep him then if he's already 3rd in hour history in 1 and a half season then you absolute whopper.

Of course it could go down, He's also beaten a top 4 club away on the first day of the season , Beating Satan's minions away for 22 years and some absolute freak wants him sacked because we might miss out on Europe. It's not like he couldn't go down a level or two there. Heads need to roll or we become accepting of failure!
Ancelotti isn’t doing a very good job at Everton
We have a former world class manager now on a steep decline
I agree with just about everything in your second paragraph. In no way should he be gone and some things being spouted are considerably OTT. Just saying a manager who wins 2 of his first 3 technically would be top of that list.Of course it could go down, He's also beaten a top 4 club away on the first day of the season , Beating Satan's minions away for 22 years and some absolute freak wants him sacked because we might miss out on Europe.
He deserves his criticism no doubt because the football is crap and we've shot ourselves in the foot numerous times against relegation fodder but @GwladysBlue is a genuine tosser who wants nothing but misery for this club.
This season has been much better than previous ones. No hint of relegation, progression further in the cups and only put out by one and two in the league, a chance of fourth in April, wins at Anfield and White Hart Lane.To be fair we are nearer 8th than 4th. Games in hand and point from 4th are ‘what ifs’.
Ancelotti is doing an Ok job, will anyone else do better.
My only issue is he gets away with things our previous managers wouldn’t.
That will be true in time but at the moment the overwhelming majority of supporters would take 38 games in the league where the result was 1-0to Everton.I think the biggest problem for Ancelotti is that football is not just about results. Results tend to fade over time. In terms of points, we can not complain, but it depends on expectations. My expectation was top 8. This is what I had expected an average manager to achieve with today's squad. Almost regardless of playing style.
But I also watch football matches to be entertained. This can be anything from Guerdiola style to good old fashioned British football with a lot of duels and tackles. I want some temperature and passion. For me, the biggest problem, apart from some matches, is that we have been completely flat. We are so predictable, and it seems like we just want to finish the matches before they even start.
We meet teams like Newcastle, Burnley, etc., and for some strange reason it looks like they are a mix of Guerdiola's Barcelona and Klopp's Liverpool. We even made Rotherdam look like Brazil in 1986. And all the time I hear the same excuses, Ancelotti does the best he can with the players he has. He needs Maldini, Costacurta, Nesta, Cafu, Gattouso, Seedorf, Prilo, Kaka, Schevchenko, Inzaghi before we can start playing good football. It is to believe in fairy tales that Everton will have such good players in the near future. (Ancelotti's league record with this team is not impressive either, but now I will probably be crucified).
But the point is almost every football manager has to settle for players who do not possess the optimal qualities (apart from the very biggest clubs). The job of the manager is to make the sum bigger than the parts, and mostly, give the fans some excitement and entertainment. Ever since Ancelotti took over the job, we have done well in terms of points, but the development as a team has been largely constant.
Maybe we have to wait until next season, I do not know, but there is nothing to suggest that we are in development when it comes to playing football. Ancelotti has been given quite a long time, at least in the football context, to develop this. But nothing has happened.
Now I do not think we should fire Ancelotti, it's crazy, but one might wonder if this is the way Everton will play football under Ancelotti. Just realizing that Ancelotti is a manager with an ultra defensive attitude when he does not have world stars on the team, a bit like Big Sam, Tony Pulis, only that he appears a little more sophisticated on the outside.
Sincere question ! If he gets another 17 months and two big summer transfer windows and we still don't make top five would your thoughts be the same? How long would you give him?Carlo has been at Everton for about seventeen months now. He has had one summer transfer window.
If that is the timescale for achieving success then Fergus on, Wenger and Kopp would have been in trouble.
Ohhhhh dear. Can I suggest a mass trip to the Carlo cool down thread for cookies and some of @sniderman's famous hot chocolate?
Maybe change the record for a while and discuss our hobbies outside of football and clogginging up footie forums with our words? Take a moment to breathe in the spring air and smell the blossom. Rejoice in our blue kinship.
Who is with me?
Have a feeling some might come for an easy time AND easy money! Some of whom the big boys don,t want. Be careful what you wish for. We've got some of these players already. If anyone thinks we'll do better without Ancelotti then you better check into an institution as you're officially nuts. We're pretty cursed and anyone would have faced these issues and more. And also not brought Allan and James with him as well as being a reason Digne and Richarlison will stick around for longer. Let's see who he entices here in the summer who wouldn't have come in a million years without him.
