His/Brands signings have all improved us,Godfrey the pick of them and the only one really injury free, Doucoure has improved us until his bad injury,we look a better balanced side when Allan is available but all of a sudden he has become a liability injury wise,we knew what we were getting with Rodriguez, then you throw in the rest of the old squad being unavailable at some point it becomes a difficult one for the manager,I still maintain our first eleven when fit is a match for anyone barring city in the division,we need to regroup in the summer, invest heavily in having a deeper squad allied to the RB/RW issues and pray for better luck next season with casualties.

No but he has done. Can we suggest perhaps that coaching and motivation may have had something to do with it?

No because it would call into question the pro Ancelotti stance that many seem to be taking.
Why is it never the players fault?

I'm more making the point that Ancelotti can make a player, if they want to be coached. Calvert-Lewin, Keane etc are flourishing. But as seen under 4 managers, you can't polish some turds. Sigurdsson, Gomes and Davies (who i'd keep around as a squad player) will never be the central midfield of a side looking to progress, let alone push for Europe. They're the epitome of what is wrong with Everton for the past 25 years.... alright, but not winners.

They don't have the hunger (or in Davies case, the quality, sadly), to step up when it matters. Until they go (and he's had one window, fgs), then the reality is, Ancelotti cannot be judged.

The fact we're even in European contention, with a load of garbage for a squad (one we've spent £500m on, btw), is more a minor miracle. Whilst the home form has been dire, it's a freak season, which i'm certain will flip flop back to normal next season.

But quick one mate, when is it Sigurdsson fault, when he's been through 5 managers, and still can't be motivated?

We would have capitulated against Palace and Brighton in season passed. Marry that with wins against other teams above us. Season still alive for Europe place. Reality that top 4 has been completely out of hands for weeks.
Still a big improvement since we had that West ham manager, salty that.

But we are not a match for anyone. Name me a game we’re we have been dominant and took control of a game.? Do you really think our away form would be the same with fans?. We play the same way every single week and not a thing changes. We get the ball to Digne and cross and hope. Time after time I see Digne cross a ball into the box we’re there is 1 Everton players surrounded by the opposition. We truly are crap!.

I honestly don't see how carlo can teach them to pass to each other and not cause unforced errors and not look like deer in the headlights. These lads have played football all their lives and really struggle with basics, that is what frustrates me.

When Koeman said he doesn't know what to do with these players, it is becoming really easy to see what he was saying now.

In a few weeks time when the season is over, Carlo can reflect on his first full season with us. He is a man of his word by all accounts, then he should call for an extraordinary general meeting, where he can apologise
profusely for his inept managerial role in that time. He should relinquish any monies due to him and leave
with his entourage. One last thing Carlo?, what reasons were given for your sackings from your last 5 jobs?

First 5-6 games of the season until the Derby when injuries and suspensions kicked in and became a regular occurrence.

If you look at the bench since January, this is not a squad to be battling for champions League spots with any real threat.

The 2 anomalies around us are Leicester and West Ham. Both either have better or more consistent squads.

Arsenal, Spurs, United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool have bigger squads, better quality in areas we lack, so it won't be any great surprise IF we finish below them.

However, we play most of them in the run in so it's in our hands.

The squad is a 8th to 12th team. Midtable.

Carlo has brought in 4 players to take us up a couple of places... surprise surprise when most of them are injured we look like a midtable team again.

Siggy, Iwobi, Davies, Gomes, Coleman, Bernard...all need upgrading.

This series of results is happening at just the right time in terms of the summer transfer market. Nobody at the club is under any illusions of what's required now. Had Carlo somehow worked the oracle and had these guys gunning for the top six, there might have been a tendency to hold back, but that's not a serious option now. The evidence before our eyes is that either the most decorated manager in modern football is not up to it or a core of failed players who have successfully ensured the sackings of three previous managers are the problem. The only player in that squad who has had a career that could even remotely be compared to Ancelotti's is James - and he brought him here specifically.

These players have never been good enough for the lofty aims of top four or even top six. Those paying attention have always known that. The challenge for the club is to give the manager players who are. Then we'll start to properly go places.

Top clubs wouldn’t touch Ancelotti with a barge pole these days but some people think he’s still this world class manager.

He’s perhaps going to finish lower than Koeman, Allardyce and Silva for the second season. The football is as bad as we’ve seen and we’re not going to be getting Europe.

He’s failed and we could literally bring in most managers in this league and they would have us in and around mid table.

Can’t agree with you that we were dominant the first 6 games.
