I have been critical of the way we have played football, and I am not convinced, but I choose to look at this season as a transition season. I trust that Ancelotti will find a solution next season, and make us competitive against the best.

All in all, he has done well in terms of points, and we have beaten Liverpool at anfield. In addition, he raises the status of the club, and maybe we can attract some players we otherwise would not have done. This is not to say that I think Ancelotti is God's gift to football, and that he is a tactical genius that no other coach can match, but so far there are far more pluses than minuses. COYB!

I feel much the same tbh. He would never really have been my choice for a manager but he is here now and he has to be given the backing he deserves and the time to put something together. This season was always going to be awkward due to the lack of a proper pre season, fixture congestion and lack of actual training ground time with the players which is why it was always going to be more of a transitional effort. I would expect with some strong signings over the summer and some time during the pre season to put an actual shape together id hope we look far sharper going into next season.

Echo's my sentiments really.

If the rumours in the Guardian are to be believed and Ancelotti is not bluffing like he tends to do then we are not looking for a midfielder or a striker for next season as he is quoted by the paper. If this is true we do need to look for a new manager. I believe Ancelotti is living on past glories and can only succeed with a team of top class players which we don't have.

A good workman is only as good as his tools. Though he never blames his tools, we all know they are.

So we are getting rid on a hypothetical situation now, I can't keep up.
