2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

I didn't watch a second of this match and enjoyed every minute of not doing it. That being said, there are definitely things you can criticize Carlo for. No idea about anything tonight. But to call for him to be sacked, already, is crazy. They better bring in all 8 positions we need help in tho.

We were the better team and created plenty of chances. Spurs had two chances, both came from defensive mix ups between Holgate and Keane and both fell lovely to Kane who buried them.

It was completely different from the Brighton game. We had the better of the midfield, we won second balls, and we carried a threat. Allan made a big difference and Davies played well. James looked fit and created a lot for us. Sigurdsson linked up really well with him.

The only reason we didnt win was because of woeful defensive mistakes and terrible finishing. There have to be big question marks over Holgate as a centre half at this level because these are big mistakes he is making. Keane had a really bad night too. They both had very little defending to do but made a hash of it.

I was very much for the appointment of Ancelotti. On paper, it looks great but the reality is he hasn’t pushed us on and any average manager would be in and around where he has us right now.

I see what your saying and in a way your right to judge him on his present season. Hes been brought in to win hes paid alot and if you judge him off those factors you could say hes not doing as well as youd expect one of the best paid managers in the world to be doing. This season has been frustrating to say the least. To lose some of the games we have is shocking but weve won games weve lost in previous seasons.

Your entitled to your opinion but for me i cant say hes failed. This is a project to make us contenders for a regular top 4 place it takes more than 1 transfer window and season to turn it around.
Projects take time, changing a culture does to.

No, I’m using the whole season. One where relegation battlers, West Ham, are well above us, relegation battlers, Aston Villa, could easily finish above us and newly promoted Leeds United are breathing down our neck.

They were only relegation battlers by our perception before any games were played. By definition they aren't relegation battlers coz they're 4th ffs.

Good summary that.
Take them two defensive mistakes out and thats as easy a win as you are gonna see.
Badly let down by them two.

It's amazing what 6 months and a unbeaten run can do to people

Same rhetoric because he churns out the same old crap. He’s failed here.

As a reminder, we are, with 7 games to go in the season, 6 points from a Champions League place. We've got 49 points from 31 games:

Our last 5 seasons:

2019/20 - 49
2018/19 - 54
2017/18 - 49
2016/17 - 61
2015/16 - 47
