Not saying we are nailed on or anything, but with the squad we have a few players who can deliver against anyone, in one off games. With a manager who has done it.

I agree mate. Our first 11 is capable of beating anyone in this league IMO. It’s how much of a shambles we look when you take one player out which is concerning though.

I’m sure once Digne’s back we’ll have another lengthy lay off to a key player to worry about though, such is Everton.

Fwiw, I can see why he’s trusting international footballers or players with hundreds of premier league appearances under their belt over a couple of 19 year old kids with less than a dozen games between them.

We know these players have proven to be gash, and as much as they’re disliked by the fans, I can see where he’s coming from. But if he could stop doing it, that would be sound.

If ancelotti wins us a trophy then that’s a big accomplishment imo. The team has underperformed for a good while based on the outlay and there is clearly a shift in mentality required. If we can somehow get past Utd in the league cup then I may dare to dream.....

I've no issue with him going on loan as it has worked out great for him. My issue was that it has forced us to rely on Tosun when we might as well pull one of the fans in off of the ballot to play instead for all he offers us.

Not disputing Tosun is awful. But surely it’s up to Brands to make sure the squad is fit for purpose, albeit with Ancelotti’s input? We definitely needed a forward in the summer as it was fairly plain to see Kean was offski.

It is and I think he's let us down.

Carlo obviously sees things in training that we don’t get to see so maybe he’s concerned about nkounkou in the PL for some reason. After all, when he was bought they said it was for the u23s rather than the first team.

Deffo agree Brands still hasn’t addressed the issue of balance in the squad. It’s too thin in too many areas still. Full backs, CM and the forward line all need added quality. Jury still out on the GK cover as well.
