Correct. Its a recipe.

Money/manager/recruitment, get them half decent you are better than most.

Like formations are a recipe. Stick to one without attitude, you are turbo knackered. Have flexibility with attitude, again, you are better than most.

All in all, to this observer, Everton seem to have a good attitude under Carlo. Well, better. Cos of West Ham.

Then we have to be incredibly good at player recruitment. We can not then spend large sums on players who have been good, but players who are on their way to becoming very good. Then we must be innovative because all clubs throughout Europe have specialized in this.

What you seem to be missing is that doing something that doesn't work consistently is a bad idea. That's Silva and Martinez.

Carlo had a working tactic that could have been viable longer term to and decided he didn't want to do that anymore. Maybe that would have ended up like Silva and Martinez, but going to keep it tight and nick it would not have been my move.

We havnt had a full back for weeks. We lost Richy and James and Allen all at the same time. But won 4 out of 5 games.
