Why does Walsh keep buying players who look so slow?

It's easy to get other things wrong but bloody hell there's a certain amount of pace required for a premier league player. It's a basic requirement unless you are 6 foot 5.
Because we can't afford someone with pace, he'd go elsewhere for mega-bucks.

Is the mention of young Theo too obvious?
 

It has been mentioned a lot by players recently the difficulty of coming into the premiership half way through a season from a foreign league.
Coming to a team that is struggling for results and confidence must be even more difficult.
Sam spoke of this in relation to Cenk Tosun immediately after he signed and I think he is trying to integrate as slowly as he can to keep the pressure off the player.
I think it is probably just good management.

I think it's mad we've bought a player who needs to be integrated slowly when it's so obvious this team is crying out desperately for a decent striker.
