Player Valuation: £40m
Imagine the kind of players that would be involved in these games.
Mercenaries like Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez as standard. Then you'd get some genuinely great players who have had long, successful careers who have 1-2 pre-retirement seasons on £1m a week - it'd be an alternative to the Chinese or American leagues. None of them would be eligible to play in the World Cup. They'd literally be playing the same teams for the rest of their careers on Wednesday nights. That's great for mercenaries. But for players who can afford to scrape by on £100k a week in the Premier League or La Liga, they'd at least be able to have proper football careers.
If this became a real, acrimonious split where the FA, UEFA and FIFA actually stuck up for themselves (LOL), not one person involved in the ESL would be able to have a non-ESL football career. All coaching qualifications would be revoked etc. What happens if a coach gets sacked from an ESL club and needs to get another job? He wouldn't be able to go to any other league in the world.
