Liverpool supporters' group Spirit of Shankly (SOS) said it was "appalled" by the decision of Fenway Sports Group, the club's US-based owner. In a social media post, SOS said: "FSG have ignored fans in their relentless and greedy pursuit of money. Football is ours, not theirs. Our football club is ours not theirs."

Chelsea Supporters' Trust called the move "unforgivable" and said its members and "football supporters across the world have experienced the ultimate betrayal".

The Arsenal Supporters' Trust called the club's agreement to join "the death of Arsenal as a sporting institution", while Manchester City's Official Supporters Club said the move showed "those involved have zero regard for the game's traditions", adding it was "determined to fight against this proposed Super League".

The Manchester United Supporters' Trust had earlier said the proposals were "completely unacceptable" and the ESL "goes against everything football, and Manchester United, should stand for".

Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust said the ESL was a "concept driven by avarice and self-interest at the expense of the intrinsic values of the game we hold so dear".
I genuinely believe fans will turn their back now.

They basically betting on the outrage dying down and sadly it probably will
Exactly. The human race has lost all fight due to commerce. The only thing that would stop this is consequences of the highest degree with removal from the premier league but that premier league will be bought off too.

Why the frig have the PL not said anything yet?

The Premier League condemns any proposal that attacks the principles of open competition and sporting merit which are at the heart of the domestic and European football pyramid.
Fans of any club in England and across Europe can currently dream that their team may climb to the top and play against the best. We believe that the concept of a European Super League would destroy this dream.
The Premier League is proud to run a competitive and compelling football competition that has made it the most widely watched league in the world. Our success has enabled us to make an unrivalled financial contribution to the domestic football pyramid.
A European Super League will undermine the appeal of the whole game, and have a deeply damaging impact on the immediate and future prospects of the Premier League and its member clubs, and all those in football who rely on our funding and solidarity to prosper.
We will work with fans, The FA, EFL, PFA and LMA, as well as other stakeholders, at home and abroad, to defend the integrity and future prospects of English football in the best interests of the game.

I know it doesn't matter but I wrote to the club asking them to expunge the clubs from the league. If they want to leave so bad, so be it. It's like begging with a bird to stay when she wants out. It might hurt at first but there is no reason to stick with them and is better in the end.

Think there's a big chance of us being in Europe next season because of this. Can see Uefa banning the 6 from all European competitions.

Lets face it, they don't want to compete in it.

sounds good!

As an example, if they were allowed to play on the Premier league and league Cup and fa Cup and this European super league.

Let's take the rs and mancs as an example

Play each other in the Premier league x2
Play each other in the European Super League x2
Then there's the possibility of facing each other in the League Cup x1
Then there's the possibility of facing each other in the FA Cup x1
Then there's the possibility of facing each other in the European Super League in the knockout stage which I'm sure would be a 2 legged affair I'd assume so x2

So there's the potential to have to face a domestic rival 8 times in a season which would be ridiculous. At a minimum they'd be facing each other 4 times.

It's absolutely ridiculous.
