Champions League revamp

Only good thing is the PL be under big pressure from fans as a collective to punish these sides.

Having Newcastle fans crying over the Saudi Prince being blocked from buying their club isn't the same as the whole country pundits included calling into question the integrity of the competition if they keep these clubs in.

It's difficult to keep a straight face listening to Sky Sports News and Kaveh Solhekol in particular cry-arsing about this situation. He had the cheek to call these clubs "The so-called Big 6" where Sky more than anyone have pandered to and spoon-fed and nurtured the idea of the Big 6. They've treated them like a favourite child for years and now they're majorly disappointed when they find out that their blue-eyed-boy has gone and sold the family silver and screwed the cat.

Sky, the Premier League and (more recently) BT have a lot to answer for in creating the greed which exists in football today. It's all well and good Gary Neville ranting on about these current manoeuvres (and I agree with almost everything he said) but he works for an institution which has in part created this environment in the first place.

Let them go for **** sakes, but don't let them back in.

if there was ever a time for Rangers and Celtic to join the EPL this is surely it? Replace the outgoing 6 with; Rangers, Celtic, Norwich, Watford, Swansea and Brentford.

There is no doubt that removing 6 teams from the premier league will have a big impact money wise, but there will be a certain appeal to advertisers of adding Rangers and Celtic, not enough to cover for those 6 going but it could cushion the blow somewhat.

I'd be all for Rangers and Celtic joining the Premier League. But the whole Scottish football pyramid would need to be integrated in to the English football system, otherwise this would just be a domestic version of the European breakaway. It would destroy Scottish football (although it's a laughing stock anyway).

May be some kind of system where the Scottish champions are integrated in to the Championship playoffs so they have a real chance of getting to the Premier League. I don't know if it's even possible to link two separate football associations like that.

What? And do to the Scottish leagues what we are complaining about here? For real?

This is a legal nightmare for all parties especially UEFA who somehow have to appease the sponsors and they have some heavy hitters in their sponsorship pool .
Some of them aren't exactly going to be excited sponsoring a West Ham Sampdoria CL final .

That would have to be a non-closed shop, so it would also generate an overhaul in Scotland, without the Old Firm.

Theoretically, promotion to the Premier League would have to be open to all/other Scottish clubs, and that means integration of both countries leagues, right through the tiers.

Of course, you could just invite Celtic and Rangers in without any of that, but that leaves a new Premier League open to accusations of hypocrisy and double standards.

Rangers and Celtic and all the hatred and bigotry that goes with them can stay where they are.
