Champions League revamp

What? The FA Cup and the League cup exists for this very reason.

Plus, having a smaller Premier League wouldn't mean a lack of equal opportunity for all these teams, it just forces them to strive for higher quality.

Having 20 teams in the Premier League is an excessive amount and it's not helping anything.

All the big 6 plassy fans with the "they wont ban us from the Prem" comments on social media would love us to wipe their grins right off tomorrow confirming they will are suspended from the league.

Yep they are all screaming that the PL wont kick them out as it needs them. Other teams will just take their place, look at Forrest, Ipswich, Leeds, Villa, us. At one point would have been included in this but other teams have overtook us.

Other teams will step up and it may become more competitive

I’m not a lawyer, but I have to imagine that there must be some form of legalese that can be employed to get a player out of a contract for a club that gets kicked out of its domestic league for rules-breaking. Surely the players wouldn’t be locked in if the team got relegated as punishment, even, like Juventus or Rangers in the past.

You may be right about the feeder league concept, but that would take years to come to fruition, and this new league would need the star players right away for legitimacy.

I see Bruno Fernandes is speaking up about it a bit this morning. That’s the sort of player I mean that could help squash this already. Big players from the involved teams.

It'll take long enough to litigate it that most contracts will already have played out by the time the dust settles on the appeals.

Again, it'll depend on the contract in each individual case. Most contracts use language that is standard to the attormeys involved, which in turn is reasonably close to language used across the industry.

Most likely, the clubs have been advised that it's 'legal enough' in the sense that there's grounds for a long court fight that will functionally render any player objections moot, that they've taken enough of the revenue pie with them that players seeking an out will be leaving a ton of money on the table, and that the agents will play ball in trying to get the most money possible for their clients.

I do myself mate but my point being, the so called 'big 6' standing is where we are trying to be. I know full well the vast majority would switch places in a heartbeat and be laughing at them for not being deemed a good enough club.
I f they had turned it down and by some reason we were offered and accepted I'd be sick to my stomach. I have far more respect for PSG because of how they responded than I ever thought I would. It's be like Celtic or Rangers turning it down, which takes more integrity than our 6 clubs who have signed up.

Oh and I think I'd be moreso be laughing at Spurs joining a 'superleague' when they'd struggle for top 4 in a London league right now.
