Champions League revamp

I don't think Levy, Kroenke and Henry have put enough thought into how much their brands are based off of success and how they'll have to spend loads of dough to compete and maintain that.
They won't have to compete and that's the point. They won't be able to be relegated so will collect their hundreds of millions each year and take the profits and run

The glaziers have taken about a billion out of United

And what negotiating power do the other 14 clubs have really in terms of eyeballs watching and prestige? I mean if the other 14 clubs held the power, the top 6 wouldn't be the ones walking away.
You miss the point. The power is in the hands of UEFA, and lower down, the Premier League. Those two organisations carry the power of sanctions, not the individual clubs...

I can't imagine losing support has no impact

Let’s see if fans of the clubs involved stay true to their words or if it’s just all a show. The competition has made it pretty clear what they think of the fans that have supported the clubs for generations. The soul will be ripped out of every one of these clubs.

The '6' have dropped a ton of merde on UEFA. Do you really think that UEFA will do nothing? The individual European leagues are affiliated to UEFA. If UEFA says 'jump', the leagues say 'how high?'

Whatever the Premier League meeting comes up with tomorrow, I'm expecting UEFA to hit those 12 clubs hard.

And if I was a betting man, UEFA don't have any negotiating power really... they could pull english champions league places if the FA/Prem were not harsh enough on the six teams... but that would be shooting themselves in the foot, it would be a worse product especially when they need to compete with the super league.

The loser out of all this is UEFA Champions League, because the top clubs want to replace it with their own. The top clubs still want to play in the domestic league, but only if they get what they want. Bunch of snakesssssss. They really want the other 14 to kowtow to them and they will probably ask for more financial benefits and more decision making power. It could even come down to things like no relegation for the top 6 clubs.

How would that, in any way, replace the money from the current set up?!

Would take some joined up thinking, but even without the super duper top 6, the PL brand is still a strong one. Globally. £10pm to watch any/all games say, 50m subscribers, globally, whats that? £5 Billion a month? (Maths aint my strong point).

edit. Its gonna be 500m a month isnt it. So £25m a month per club, so £300m a year. That sounds ok to me.
