Champions League revamp

They expected everybody to say "Please dont leave us", instead everybody just said "BYE NOW".

But sadly I'm sure that wont be the stance in tomorrows EPL meeting, there will be some very scared owners, as we saw with Parish.

Its ok for UEFA to go nuclear, all they lose is their organisation, its a vastly different prospect for owners of clubs.

Parish’s comments have convinced me it’s just gonna be a load of pandering at that meeting tomorrow to try and come up with a plan so we can make them stay. Big farce.

It was going to be a PR disaster no matter what.

"We generate most of the growth in the revenue, but you guys insist on dividing it equally. We don't think that's fair, so we're packing up our toys and moving on."

There's no selling that, so they decided to take the free publicity of controversy.

Throw them all out
Continue the champions league with loyal clubs
Encourage a boycott
The responsibility for keeping the interest low is with Sky tv
.... stay strong sky
Only if they don't get the opportunity for a share of the money/broadcasts.

It is tho, thats the root of it.

As Parish said, they don't want to leave the Premier League, they just want to leave the Champions League.

TBF they want to leave both, probably - once the SL is up and running, they've no more need for the PL either.

It isn’t “true”, it’s your opinion. As I’ve said before when you have forgotten your medication; You struggle with the difference between “small” and “far away”
Btw. I’ll be shocked if anything happens tomorrow. This is complex. If you’re expecting it to be resolved tomorrow you will be disappointed. Again.

It won't be done and dusted tomorrow but the league need to not pussyfoot around and basically give them that ultimatum - if they dont jack in the plans within 7 days they'll be suspended from being part of the 2021/22 season.

If they dont we will Neville Chamberlain all the way to them getting what they want via concessions whether they leave or stay.

No, you just saw what you wanted to see.

Or maybe I missed him saying "Kick the bellends out, we don't need them".

He said this will be a good day for football, they've made concessions to them on the sly for years, they've overplayed their hand and now we redress it, and if the six have broken their contract with the league then we can certainly go and leave them behind.

That's what he said.

Another possibility is that he's showing the olive branch before they hit them.

That's the bet that Woodward et al have made.

Because they believe they “deserve “ the revenue without competing and earning a place in the money end of a meritocracy
They want the money they generate.

Cos lets be honest, they all generate the most, they want it all, they don't want to share with "lesser clubs", they want to share it will other teams that bring revenue and Spurs.

I can kinda see their point, but its selfish and greedy, hence everybody reaction.
