Champions League revamp

Does it even need votes? Surely it’s just down to what the FA wants to do. If some clubs don’t want them kicked out but the FA do it anyway they’re not going to kick up a fuss.

Does require a vote I believe, cant remember how many.

Not honestly sure what the process is or what might happen. I just dont see expulsions happening until way down the line as a last resort.

If they have broken league rules then there must be sanctions tomorrow though. Proper consequences.
I dont think they have currently broken League rules.

Nor do I think the 14 will take a nuclear stance, as I say, they are at war with UEFA and there will be a massive degree of self interest on show tomorrow, from all 14 clubs.

I don't understand why people expected Klopp to go against his employers publicly in these interviews today, it's asinine thinking. Whatever happens, it's happening behind closed doors. That man ain't adding more fire to the already clusterfuk that is the ESL.

It's clearly not the players fault, it's their employers. But this league will look a bit silly if the top players aren't allowed to play anywhere else or don't want to play in it

I wonder if the top players would stay in this thing if UEFA will forbid them to be in the national teams.
For example the French players were most definitely thinking about winning the next euro and maybe another world cup.

I think short term it would be tough but a lot of variables at play - will TV companies show loyalty and give a fixed period of steady albeit reduced deals for a traditional period whilst clubs adjusted? Will players take pay cuts? Will the transfer market adjust and go from average £30 million players to now being sold at £5-10 million?

For me its down to principle - we can keep kicking the can down the road but eventually you have to accept that they want out.

If anything use that as motivation to build a brand strong enough to go up against it and win long term.
The "interesting" thing about transfers isn't what they will be in the future, it's the ones they already have lashed out and have payments on. We probably still owe Watford about 20m on Richarlison. Think of players who moved for big money and how that payment is going to be fixed but revenue collapses.

Just seen Klopp's post-match. Came off poorly. Naively thought he'd be more against it than that.

Neville has him rattled.

Telling that, isn’t it?
Absolutely shocked, he’s very, very good at deflecting though, and will rant about anything to avoid answering something he doesn’t want to answer.

What do you think of the ESL?

WHY IS GARY NEVILLE DISSING YNWA.

Nothing cry arse about it. The league needs these clubs and will not stand up to them. When’s the last time we really made a stand?
Non of us know exactly what’s going to happen, the media seem to think we all want the scabs expelled. Only Fulham have released a proper statement, Leeds and Palace both took jabs at it but from what I can see the likes of West Ham, Leicester, Villa, clubs who, like us, stand to benefit from the Scab 6 moving on haven’t said anything but it doesn’t mean they won’t
